Zook: Injured Illini QB to start

Illinois quarterback Juice Williams is recovering from an eye injury and coach Ron Zook said Sunday he expects the sophomore to start Saturday night's home opener against Western Illinois.

Juice is an exciting player to watch, but his backup McGee performed pretty well against the Tigers. If Juice doesn't play well once the Big Ten season starts he might get benched.

Juice plays unless he's hurt......but McGee's performance makes you feel a little better about the backup situation if Juice does get hurt again......

What good is the face of the program if he leads them to a 2-10 season? Faces are pointless. Zook is bringing in talent to Illinois but he needs to produce victories. If he feels Juice is not getting it done, then he needs to move on.

I think zook likes Juice, he is still young and looked good at times, I think he'll be a good QB, but I could be wrong, I guees looking good and being good are two different things, we'll see...

He should wear an eye patch. It wouldn't change his accuracy.
Maybe a patch on each eye.
