The Axe Murderer is still healing from knee surgery. I think Leben believes that he can beat him because out of Silva's last 7 fights, he has won only two of them. I didn't get to see Leben's fight at UFC 116. It's hard to justify $55 for a PPV show even though it was very tempting.

Anybody know how many PPVs for UFC 116 were sold?

UFC 116 was an amazing card ... there were a lot of good fights and you missed out. Leben-Akiyama was fight of the night quality and so was Bonnar-Soszynski ... Dana White actually paid all 4 fighters a 75,000 fight of the night bonus. Chris Lytle is never boring and his come from behind win was incredible ... Pelligrino-Soutoropolis was good too. Last but not least Lesnar-Carwin is going to go down as one of the greatest come from behind victories in history. Carwin absolutely dominated Lesnar in round 1 and nearly finished him and ends up getting choked out in the second round with a d'arce choke.

It was an arm triangle choke.

I'm assuming Sexyama only took the fight with Leben on the condition that'll he would get Silva next regardless of the outcome.

it was an even, and thus a great fight, only because leben took a vicious one to the nads in the first round. very rarely does a fighter get nadulated and still win the fight. hats off to leben for being able to finish a rough journey. but honestly if you take out the crot ch shot, leben would have crushed his opponent, probably in the first round. very entertaining fight.

Leben / Silva has fight of the night written all over it. Those two love to stand and bang. How can DW not make this fight happen? Especially since Leben beat Aikyama *sp. Very happy for Leben on his win but you have to give major respect to Aikyama *sp for standing and banging. Especially since Judo is his background and Leben loves to throw. Great UFC 116 card. Wasn't 3-4 fight of the nights awarded?

This was not a come from behind victory, Lesnar waited out Carwin. You could actually see the point during his ground and pound that Carwin gassed and lost the fight. Look Carwin never recovered not even by round 2 which is a sign of an enduarnce and a stamina problem. Kudos on a great transition and a arm triangle that made Carwin's head look like a mood ring. Honestly I thought it was gonna pop off, Brock cranked on it so hard. But if Carwin plugs the hole in his gas tank and doesn't B.J. Penn (i.e. gas himself) next time and Brock doesn't learn any jujitsu, which would have helped him defend himself from the bully beat down carwin was given him in round 1. Brock will be in trouble next time, unlike this time.

Greatest comebacks in history? Not really, Carwin punched himself out while he pounded Brock, and in a less important fight it may have even been stopped by the ref. Brock tackled him and landed in a perfect postition to apply an arm triangle, great move, but not some storied comeback. The night was full of great fights, for the guys who didn't wanna pay the 44.95 they probably spent out drinking that night anyways, you missed a great one.

Leban deserves a big name fight. He got thrown in there short notice and just fought a few weeks ago. I say give him Silva and a big payday.

C'mon, you guys & gals know how it goes. They deny the fight will ever happen and then all of a sudden BAM! "We worked really hard to get this fight for the fans because this is what they want to see." It's all to generate interest...WE ARE ALREADY INTERESTED!!! WAR LEBEN!!

btw..does Dana have admin rights to Fannation? There are a hell of alot of removed comments...just saying.
