UGA likely to approve AD's resignation

08:55 AM ET 07.05 | The same board that five months ago approved a new five-year, $3.25-million contract for Damon Evans will convene at 11 a.m. today to hear details of his resignation. This morning's meeting, via conference call, of the UGA Athletic Board's executive committee is expected to reveal Evans' resignation settlement and perhaps the game plan for choosing his successor as Georgia's athletics director.

Bruce Feldman has a call into Damon Evans. Bruce needs to work out a minor scheduling conflict that he has with a Texas gig. If he gets past that, he and Damon are off to work on an updated version of "The Red Badge of Courage"!

What a waste - throws not only his own future into question but a lot of other people's.

I suspect that someone will have to pry open the details of his settlement with a freedom of information act request. UGA doesn't like airing this kind of dirty laundry.
