07:23 AM ET 07.06 | After getting a piece of a 19-car pileup, Mark Martin had a message for everyone now that Daytona is going to be repaved, which will make the cars handle better and possibly bunch up the field even more. Still, the track, which developed a pothole during the Daytona 500 in February, needs to be repaved. As Dale Earnhardt Jr. told his team during the race: "This [expletive] piece of [crap] race track. It's so damn rough around the top of [turns] 1 and 2, you can't even see. I bet it feels good up front, though, in clean air."

So maybe you should get up there... to the [expletive] clean air.

That would seem to be the answer, RedSox.

Without GPS he is in trouble as far as finding the front of the pack.

oh yea? i didnt see any problems on friday night.. perhaps your boy could use a GPS to keep his car pointed straight and not in to a wall..

any questions? please find some new material, your stale jokes are barely funny the first time

???Just wait until February,??? said Martin, whose car was involved in the accident and eventually went up in flames Saturday night. ???We???re going to do it bigger than that, I bet you. That was pretty big.

???I think in February, we???ll do it bigger than that. With this new pavement, everybody better pull their [belt] straps down tight.???

This is what Martin said, the story above made reference to Martin saying something but never told us what he said about the track.

svt; are you talking about the guy that has 2 more wins than Jr., 3 more Top 5's and 3 more Top 10's? Let's not forget he is 2oo points ahead in the chase also.

A good laugh on that one

There's a hot dog vendor at Daytona that caused all of his problems maybe? It's NEVER his fault.

I noticed you did not compare bank accounts, fan support, etc. -- Jr could buy and sell the mushroom cloud -- battery -- whiney candie boy -- golf cart jumpin' -- car ...

SVT: Jr. has NEVER taken the blame for anything. Next to Jeff Gordon, he's the biggest cry-baby the sport has ever seen. Not to mention, he's just not a very good driver. Maybe he should go back to Nationwide where he at least had some success.

July 6, 2010  02:07 PM ET

And yet there are those who swear it is the greatest race track in the world, above and beyond Indy.....

July 6, 2010  02:11 PM ET

LOL @ Burgh Fan's proverb...... good one!

I agree Jr gets lost on pit road sometimes but I have never heard him blame others......he is sometimes too hard on himself, with taking the blame.......he likes the high side of tracks, so he was just commenting on the track condition....I would too, if I was a driver.

July 6, 2010  02:32 PM ET

Jr. owns up?????? It's the car, it's the track, it's the crew, it's my crew chief, it's the tires, it's these new tampons. Cut me a break! Oh and by the way, you're right about one thing, for Jr., 11th is as good as it gets.
