08:36 AM ET 07.06 | Florida State will try to ensure that Christian Ponder is at least mentioned as a Heisman-worthy candidate by kicking off an Internet-based publicity campaign Wednesday. It offered a tease last week that showed the silhouette of a quarterback with his arm cocked and ready to fling the ball and the identifying tag CP7 ??? Ponder's initials and number.

Wow, I'm as die hard a noley as there is and this is a non story.
GO NOLES!

Are they "pondering" a campaign to get him noticed? bhahahahahahaha!

July 6, 2010  08:59 AM ET

We would have to have at least 10 wins for him to have a shot at it and I don't see that.
Hope like hell I'm wrong!

Has any team played well when the school started a "heisman campaign" for one player at the beginning of the season?

July 6, 2010  09:28 AM ET

If FSU wins he will be mentioned. He is a solid QB. Their offense should be very good this year, it all rests on the defense.

July 6, 2010  09:57 AM ET

Well, he is pretty good. As Allegedly points out, though, the team will have to be great for him to have a chance.

Allegedly, I thought you kicked off this internet heisman campaign yourself during the CWS. Sounds like you're not geting proper credit here!

Why?????

July 6, 2010  11:16 AM ET

So, Little Joe? Hoss? Ben? I mean Ponderosa can't be run by just one guy.... And Adam wasn't the most popular (though, Christian does resemble a young Parnell Roberts)...
