06:27 AM ET 07.07 | While Amare Stoudemire would love to team up with point guard Tony Parker, a source told The Post the new Knicks power forward would prefer, given his choice of free-agent point guards, to pick-and-roll with Milwaukee's Luke Ridnour. The Knicks have Raymond Felton and Ridnour high on their list, but feel Ridnour could be the better value.

Great... Ridnour... Knicks fans are going to leave the franchise in droves if all the Knicks come out of this Summer with is Ridnour and Stoudemire.

Ridnour is a solid PG. He is much better than Duhon. The best PGs on the market are Ridnour and Felton. The Knicks do need a PG so it makes sense but this is the Post, so who really knows.

I don't understand why they didn't go after Hinrich...seemed like a better fit. Ridnour is solid but boy does he have limitations, perhaps his biggest one is his motor, he'll have issues keeping up with the offensive tempo in NY

My, how the Knicks ambitions have fallen. It turns out that the whole world is not dying to play and live in the rotten apple.

The best available are Ellis and Arenas, if you want to "look" deeper. Not just FAs.

Let's see... Raymond Felton or Luke Ridnour - oh the agony!

Please explain.....what kind of ignorant statement is that?We already signed one of the top 4 guys......ad now we're in 100% wait for LBJ's decision. After that, we'll make secondary movesHow old are you?

Yeah, I feel a bit sorry for some of these other FAs. They are definitely goign to get signed, but right now they are all sitting around waiting for Lebron-fest to end...then their phones are going to be ringing off the hook. Lots of teams are going to have holes to fill.

July 7, 2010  08:39 AM ET

lebron and bosh to Amare and Luke...yeah that's what all knicks fans were praying for the past 2 years! Amare will quickly become a slightly less fat slightly more productive Eddy Curry clone in a year. If anyone thinks this I care about winning, I'm going to be a leader thing is going to last...wait until training camp when he starts trashing the team and the coach.

Good morning my man. This time of year when Knicks are on roll by drawing first blood in the free agency with the Amare signing all our haters will come out to make ignorant statements so its best to ignore them. So much for Knicks striking out; so much for Knicks sucking for another 10 years. Even if we don't get Lebron we have the ability to build a very solid team so yeah so don't respond to these stiff necked fools!

It's looking more and more like a Miami shut out... I told you guys Riley can't get it done. Wade will sign with Chicago and Bosh will join him there. As Prokhov said if Lebron, Bosh and Wade play for the same team it will deminish the power of the Lebron brand so trust that won't happen.

If Lebron stays in Cleveland and gets Bosh to join him Knicks will be better than Miami and Chicago for sure cos we can retain Lee, add a decent point guard and still be major players next year.

Lets sit tight for the 9:00 PM announcement. I don't see how Lebron can refuse the Knicks but whatever he decides to do Knicks will be better than most teams in the East.

being a Bucks fan & having watched Ridnour a bunch; he's capable, but the Knicks gotta go bigger. agree with above, they didn't prepare for this free agency season to end up with Amar'e & Ridnour. see attached on Bosh: http://bit.ly/bS3wi4

My connect just told me that Cavs have an "in-principle" agreement to deal Mo Wm's, Keith Moon, and cash to Charlotte for CP3. This makes sense b'c it gives the king (I will use caps once he validates it with at minimum an NBA Finals appearance) a great PG and frees up talent on the bench. Expect the king to re-sign with CLE and bring on-board CP3.

That's funny considering Bosh and Wade have decided to sign with the Heat! Did you actually believe that Riley was gonna go 0 for? Seems to me as if he's getting it done, much to your chagrin. Most basketball people should have known that the Big 3 weren't gonna play together. Lebrons' ego is much too big for that to happen.

Man you have been sounding bitter over the last few days.....I dont think people are targeting you on here but ALL the unrealistic Knick homers that said all year how EVERYONE wanted to come to NYC......Im sure they are going to make a few more moves but they shouldnt just sign guys to sign them....Hell save some cap for next year...

Felton is the better point guard but Ridnour is a better distributor so he's the best fit for the Knicks given the scorers and deadly three point shooters he'll be surrounded with in NY. The other thing is Felton might demand more than he's worth and even though we can give him a front loaded contract he's still not the type of player that will thrive in D'Antoni's system.

Well considering Keith Moon is dead and Paul plays for New Orleans that is one amazing trade........
