07:08 AM ET 07.07 | Tarvaris Jackson said the timing over when Brett Favre will announce his decision doesn't affect his approach to camp. "If he doesn't show up to Mankato, sign the same time he did last year, that's fine, that's more reps for me, Sage [Rosenfels] and Joe [Webb]," Jackson said. "We just basically try to take advantage of it. When he comes backs, be ready mentally and just know what you're getting yourself into. It's going to be a long season."

"WHEN he comes back..."
It's a foregone conclusion. He might as well Di what he can to make the best of it. Pouting solves nothing. Work your butt off and prove you belong. That's the attitude and mindset he needs to go into camp and the season with.

I'm sure Childress is relieved to hear that Jackson is happy. He'd hate to have the backup miss camp, too.

Javon Ringer is OK with Chris Johnson missing OTAs, too. Another relief.

And in more "always look on the bright side of life" Happy Jack news, Tarvaris Jackson is glad to have Brad Childress as his coach, because he doesn't have to wait to get reps at the barber shop.

I wonder if ol' Brett saw Lebron's plans for a one hour "announcement" special and thought to himself "Damn?"

And after this, he's going to crusade for the environment by picking up cans and bottles and returning them for the deposits.

You know, I'm not a Vikes fan, but I would find it funny to see Favre come back, get injured in the preseason, and see Tarvaris lead the Vikes to a Superbowl. What the hell would they do then?

Travis should concentrate on his own problems. Word in Tribune is he didn't look good in recent OTA's. If he was planning on taking advantage of the situation it ain't working for him.
His real problems have always been the mental part of the game. He can run and pass but his decision making at critical times of the game is lacking. They cannot win with him.
