Common Minaya, are you KIDDING??? Do something, you schmuck!

July 9, 2010  06:48 AM ET

Hey, was I actually first??? Learn a lesson, Minaya.

Good-bye A.J. Burnett...

July 9, 2010  07:40 AM ET

Oh good...

July 9, 2010  07:45 AM ET

You cant trade Jesus?

July 9, 2010  08:08 AM ET

Oh yeah.....get it done!! it sometimes just seems unfair.......no it doesn't! everything is as it should be!!

July 9, 2010  08:09 AM ET

I'm a Yankee fan, but this is ridiculous. The Yanks have the best rotation in baseball, and if the rumors are true, they're not trading any one of their five starters. I guess the plan would be to send Hughes to the bullpen to cut down on his innings. Totally unnecessary.

July 9, 2010  08:12 AM ET

I just read that the Yankees were going to wait until Free Agency? Oh, well...guess they decided they needed him sooner

July 9, 2010  08:45 AM ET

Only if you can keep him after this year. Otherwise? no. I will believe it when I see it....

July 9, 2010  08:55 AM ET

Sending any top prospects to Seattle at this time would be a waste. The rotation is already in great shape and one of the starters would gave to be bumped to the bullpen. Why do this? Same goes for that ridiculous story about Jayson Werth. Unless they intend to dump Granderson who gets demoted? All-star Swisher? .315 hitting, 25 steals Gardner? I just don't get it.

July 9, 2010  08:57 AM ET

It's in the Post for God's sake, take it with a grain of salt. But if so, why would he pitch against the Yankees tonight? Nothing good could come of that. If he pitches for Seattle tonight the trade won't happen.

if they trade anyone from the rotation it will be Vasquez

Isn't the NY Post the equivilant to the Weekly World News? "The Paper"

Yankees seemingly to strike again.

July 9, 2010  09:31 AM ET

It's almost as if the Yankees are trying to win another title. Come guys. Let someone else win one. 27 not enough? :P

Exactly my thought

QUOTE(#15):

I'm a Yankee fan as well, and I also find this rediculous. But, I don't think what you are saying is true. I believe they would trade Vazquez to the NL instead of putting hughes in the bullpen. They are already skipping and pushing back Hughes starts, and he has responded well after that. I think that's still their game plan to limit his innings.

We'd take Vazquez in St. Louis.

Well if this is true, it further proves that "He who has the Gold, Makes the Rules". The Yankees will be re-damn-dick-u-less with LEE in their rotation. Looks like they found the balance of prospects, young talent, and spending a million-gajillion on free-agents.
