06:28 AM ET 07.09 | The Knicks sent former team president and coach Isiah Thomas to Akron, Ohio, on Wednesday to speak with a member of LeBron James' inner circle in a last-ditch attempt to sell New York, according to a source. Thomas had a long-standing relationship with the individual, though it was not James' manager, Maverick Carter, or his agent, Leon Rose. The Knicks were considering sending coach Mike D'Antoni again to Akron, but figured Thomas would be a fresher voice.

Because Isiah Thomas is the one you want pitching a winning team?

I am surprised anyone at the Knicks even talks to Isiah.
Honestly, it doesn't really matter what the Knicks did obviously. Lebronda couldn't handle the pressure of playing in NY or Chicago. He needs to go ride piggy-back with Lebron. Too bad for the Cavs, they were so busy looking for a sidekick for Lebron, they never realized that he was the sidekick.

So let me get this straight , the knicks....send Isiah Thomas , the guy who drafted Ronaldo Blackman, they guy who gave up a few years worth of draft picks for various bad contracts to give LEbron a "fresher voice" ...I guess they wanted Bron' to know forgiving they are?

Sending Thomas in for the Knicks? Sending Dennis Rodman in to pitch the Bulls would have made more sense than that.

The reports are the Knicks were 4 on the list as places to go for LBJ! Number 4!
I said at the trade deadline, the Knicks have placed the fate of the franchise on 23 black. There was not even a backup plan!
We have one very good player! Several second team guys and no high first for the next 3 year.
THIS WAS ALL OR NOTHING! SO WE NOW HAVE NOTHING!
WE WERE PROMISED LBJ!

We gave everything up! We have no high draft for 3 years!
I wish I was wrong, but I knew I was right!

How much better is Amare then Zach? We could have had a 20, 10 player for the last 3 years and Zach is in a walk year now!
What the F!

Sucks being a Knicks fan... it really does.
Dolan is a complete knothead, the "all-the-eggs-on-Lebron" basket just got carried off to South Beach and the hopes of the team are pinned in Amare.
Bleak...

It's cool bro. We're still the Knicks. With a smart balanced team we'll be allright. I like the moves we've made so far. Basketball is played on a court... don't let the big names fool you. Remember Lakers had Kobe, Shaq, Payton, Malone and still couldn't get it done.
Those three won't mesh well and when Lebron starts averaging 15ppg he'll be calling his momma and his step Dad to come get him out of there.
We'll be aight. Just like that we're like number 5 on paper in the East already.

Truly spoken. I don't know you gather the patience to explain such simple concepts. Knicks fans should be happy. We now have some pieces, will make the playoffs and still have cap space to go after players that fit and can compete with the best. Miami's trio is just a disaster in the waiting. There's only 1 ball - what a waste of talent.

lol go knicks lol ummm no queen bron huh lost...you were shouting that he was coming for quite a while lol....guess its back to melo and tony parker for next season and cp3 to lol..gets funnier you give up a big that rebounds for one that doesnt rebound or play d but scores more fits the dumtoni mold..you do have cap space tho...guess that means maybe 8th seed come playoffs time cause...that team looks worse then the nets at this point....bucks. miami, boston, atl, chi, orlando all look better as well that seems like either missing the playoffs or maybe an 8 seed at most....
