07:23 AM ET 07.14 | With hopes "he will present more short-level accuracy than [Donovan] McNabb," Kevin Kolb, for better or worse, is the Eagles' main man. The jury's still very much out on Kevin Kolb -- he'll have the benefit of [Andy] Reid's West Coast Offense and talented receivers around him, but as it is with any NFL quarterback, he'll have to learn the subtleties of the game (like how and when to look off a smart defender) the hard way. ... Based on the Eagles' current offensive production and efficiency, and Kolb's familiarity with that system, Football Outsiders projects a 2010 season for Kolb that looks like this: 324 completions in 518 attempts (62.6 completion percentage) for 3,968 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 14 interceptions.

Andy Reid's offense will give him plenty of pass attempts, for sure. He'll get his chance, assuming his arm doesn't fall off by mid-season.

Kolb could also go the Roethlisberger route and just flirt with 4,000 coeds instead. It might win him a quick Superbowl, too. Worked for Ben.

So. did they predict how many wins? In today's game, with those weapons and that offense There are twenty QBs who could throw for 4,000 yards.

Not unless he's going ironman on us. It truly comes down to the defense. If it's as bad as last year, Mr. Kolb is in for a long season regardless of his stats. With some improvement, it will take a lot of pressure off of him and give him some leeway to develop.

as the article states, the jury's still out, but he averaged 360 yards per game in 2 starts last season.

Sorry fellas...Kolb is not throwing for 4000yds...
McNabb could not get there and he is a better QB...
My guess is Kolb and Philly find out PAINFULLY that they made a mistake in letting McNabb go, especially to the Redskins.
Dallas goes 11-5, NY 10-6, Philly 8-8 and Skins 8-8...
Mark it down....

Kolb is taking over just as the entire rest of that division look to be better this year.It smells like he will be the Captain of a basement dweller.Maybe they challenge NY nut the division goes to the Boys or the Skins.

Look, as an Eagles fan, I hate the Cowboys. Having said that, I can understand someone saying they are the division favorites this year. I don't understand, however, how someone could say with any hope of being taken seriously that the Eagles and Giants will be battling each other to avoid being the last place team while the Cowboys and Redskins will be battling for the division title. The Redskins have made some improvements, but they're still the worst team in the division. Not as bad as it sounds given the division, but they still have the most holes to fill right now.
