07:24 AM ET 07.14 | Despite missing the playoffs for a 10th consecutive season and raising ticket prices, the Bills "are off to a good start" with 2010 ticket sales. The team revealed Tuesday it has two home games sold out and a third is close to a sellout. That news came on the very first day that individual-game tickets went on sale to the general public. Tickets are gone for the home-opener against Miami on Sept. 12 and the Week 12 game against Pittsburgh on Nov. 28. The game against the New York Jets on Oct. 3 has only limited tickets available, the team said.

Give 'em credit - they turn out for their team.
That's why this "Toronto" thing is so galling.

It is great to hear that a team that does not do well has loyal fans.

I ask this why raise ticket prices in a recession? If the team came out and said we need to raise prices to get money to get better players then I would be ok with it.

Unfortunately, if ol' Ralph raises prices the only thing that gets better is his bank account.
He's figured out that the way to market his team and improve his revenue stream is to play a game in Toronto each year.
Way to reward your loyal fans...

Having spent time in and around Buffalo I can attest this to be true I don't think there are more diehard fans anywhere. The Toronto thing in truth is just to try and expand the fan base

I live in a town out side of orchard park and i am a die hard bills fan and this Toronto series thing is a complete joke! There is no intensity in the Air Center and you are not even aloud to tailgate and party at the air center. And being a bills fan drinking and partying before a bills game is what it is all about!!!!!!!

How many tickets to that Pittsburgh game went to Steeler fans? They travel.

Hard to say, but for premium opponents like the Steelers, season ticket holders get first choice at extra tickets. My guess? Not many.

I think you are 100% correct. I've also been to Buffalo often (to attend hockey games) and their fans are among the best anywhere, for any sports. Tough town, good folks.

A lot of gall on this owner's part. He doesn't give a rat's patootie about his fans. Otherwise he would have invested in some quality players and coaches these last few years. He is a clown. He knows that in a small city like Buffalo where the economy has spent the last 25 years slowly strangling itself, this is all most people have....and he takes full advantage of it.

Buffalo people are great and they enjoy the party as much (probably more right now) then the game. The best thing that can happen in Buffalo is to have Ralph "Move on" and get the Jim Kelly group as a new owner and start winning and careing about fans again. For those that think the team will move you should know that there is already a potential deal in place and this team will be in Buffalo long term. It will come out once Ralph dies, but there is no way you let the team leave such a great fan base. The Bills also don't want to tell you but they are tanking 1 more season since next years draft is so strong with QB's they will get their QB and they will have a rebuilt O-line, a stud running back, a stud QB and the actual coaching staff to use them correctly.

I suspect that the "awfully loyal lot" refers to the parking lot, where the awfully loyal fans drink themselves into oblivion at the thought of the Bills and the winter weather.

Buffalo has the lowest ticket prices in the NFL ... even after the raise in prices. Ralph Wilson has kept that team in Orchard Park for all of these years, even though it's in a depressed economy. So how, exactly, is the team not "reward its loyal fans?" Ralph Wilson is one of the best owners in the history of the NFL, and Bills fans are some of the best fans in the NFL. And I'm sure there's a lot of drinking going on in every NFL stadium's parking lot on a gameday Sunday ... not just in Buffalo.

Buffalo does have great fans and great people so if you are one of these clowns that just jumps on the joke wagon and insults a place you have never been to you should pump the brakes. I have been there several times for work and I have attended both Bills and Sabres games. The fans were awesome at all of them and the people in the area were some of the nicest people I have ever talked to. The food there is awesome, It is ranked in the top 10 places to raise a family by Forbes, Amherst (suburb of Buffalo) is ranked in the top 50 "Best places to live" in the country by CNN Money, Cost of living is very low, It is in a great location considering Canada, NYC, etc... and the weather is not as bad as all the funny jokes make it out to be. FYI this year Buffalo had less snow then Boston and most other places on the east coast. It also has more sunny days then Orlando Florida (look it up it rains in Florida every day). The truth is I have work and family there and I hate when ignorant people insult a place they have no knowledge of. I would take Buffalo's four seasons over Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Flooding, Wildfires, Oppressive heat, traffic or any of that other crap other area's have to worry about. If you want to judge Buffalo you should go there, but until then maybe you should shut your hole. Personally I am looking forward to my next visit (the wings at Anchor bar rock!). Translation your ignorant so put your moms computer away and go play video games. You obviously can't go outside if you are in Dallas because it is going to be a very comfortable 97 degrees with 100% humidity today (www.weather.com). Your living in heaven loser.

And yes I know you don't live in Dallas but I see that is your team and it makes my point better.
