08:46 AM ET 07.17 | Free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens isn't expected to join the Ravens this season, agent Drew Rosenhaus said on ESPN's NFL Live on Friday. Rosenhaus said the Ravens had expressed interest in Owens early in free agency. Rosenhaus said he is in conversations with five teams about Owens. One new team has "aggressively entered the picture," according to Owens' agent.

Several years ago, Ray Lewis did his best to persuade T.O. to come to Baltimore, but he ended up in Philly instead. A few years later, T.O.'s agent would love for someone in Baltimore to have interest. Oh, the irony!

yes! thank god. we don't need him to get to the superbowl.

July 17, 2010  09:06 AM ET

We should sign him then put him on IR just to keep other teams from getting him, and it also keeps the virus away from the sidelines.

Assuming Drew isn't just making things up, could that team be the Chargers feeling that they need to move on from Vince Jackson? I have nothing to back that idea up, but why let that stop me?

Tick tick tick tick....time running out TO.
Turn out the lights on the way out the door!

I'm not usually a collusion conspirast......But unless to is asking for crazy $.....not sure why almost any team wouldnt give the guy a chance...He's not to circa 2005, but the guy can still be effective especially if best being covered by a tiny nickel cb

If he was the 2005 TO, with only the 2005 baggage, someone would have taken a chance. The 2010 TO has left a lot of burnt bridges behind and has developed a nasty habit of dropping the ball on the field.

After ragin on the media for his demise....He sure is enjoying the media attention.....

Unfortunately I think TO will get a chance somewhere this year being that this season is uncapped.

July 17, 2010  09:44 AM ET

Maybe he needs to do more sit-ups in his driveway

It's great that FN is so vested in finding this poor man a job.

I see Drew is back to his old tricks. I don't know that trying to start a bidding war is going to work this time.

QUOTE(#9):

I realize that, but in an uncapped year, and the fact that we've seen he'll take a 1 year deal.....As I said, certainly not a #1, maybe not even a 2.....But as a #3, going against 2 nd string corners? Not sure why that isn't worth a risk

I don't know if he has even slid down to being only the number 3. He still managed 55 catches and 829 yards playing in Buffalo! I think there is a collusion effort, but I don't think it's TO specific. It's not like he's the only veteran player running into a surprising lack of response around getting a new contract, he's just more of a media hotspot than a lot of other guys.

San Diego could pull the trigger on dumping Vince Jackson and sign TO tomorrow. Some other team may get into minicamp and realize a veteran wideout has lost more than they expected or that a younger player hasn't made the step forward they were hoping for and call for TO. The reality is, TO has lost enough, and done enough damage in the locker room, that nobody is going to throw down big money and build an offense around him before they even see what they have in minicamp.

Raven's should be interested. Boldin was a great compliment to Fitzgerald in AZ, but I don't think he is a number 1. Who else do they have?

Mason has certainly lost a step, but don't count out Boldin. He is as tough as nails. You can never that guy, after breaking his face on a play in the endzone, isn't afraid of taking a hit.

They are a charitable lot.

"Agent: Ravens not among five teams eyeing T.O."

Nothing wrong with that .... as long as it's from a safe distance.

Well said sir. Yes, it looks like the T.O. epidemic is still with us. Good news though, next year will be a lockout so this will be the last year we have to put up with this tool.
