A good journalist will tell who, what, where. That's all we need to know.

Just another guy with a giant ego who doesn't know when to quit. He ****ed on everyone on his way up and now he expects the same people to help him keep his racing career alive. Go back to Monaco and stay there!

If he even qualifies for the race.. he'd get more money than what he would get in IRL or F-1.. thats why he's wanting to do it

Maybe he will ask Danica for advice.

Maybe I will try the brickyard. about as newsworthy

It will be if you drive that VW Beetle.

Actually pond, you driving it would be much more newsworthy LOL
(btw, that is meant in a postive way, with zero sarcasm)

I don't know how well that VW will handle on a flat track like Indy. Now if Pondscum was thinking about racing Herbie at Daytona or Talladega with their high banking, I would install him as the favorite immediately.

You just don't mess with someone sportin a 52 hp opposed 4 boxer engine.

Would it ruin it if I said it was just a Vega on steroids?

Call it what you like -- but it looks like a 70 1/2 -- has the small spoiler and headrests ... look pretty nice. Bought one just like that at Doc Stewart Chev (green with white stripe) in Clovis NM back in the day. 350 LT-1, 4 gear, 4:11 posi -- it was nice...

dang, I would have to paint "Frankie" white with an offset blue stripe to mimick Herbie.

Why exactly are we are assuming that Villeneuve will do so bad at the Brickyard 400?

He has two starts at Indianapolis in open wheel, with finishes of 2nd and a win.

I seem to recall everyone claiming how bad JPM would be at Indianapolis in 2007, saying about how hard the track is in a stock car and what not. So he qualifies 2nd and finishes 2nd.

The point is, Villeneuve may just shock a lot of you.

That's a TOTAL disappointment, Rex. One of the few reasons why I liked you <lmao>. LT-1 350, ~360hp car. I had the engine from one of those in a '72 Chevelle. That was one fun A-Body. I misssed out on a '70 by a day. Bummer.
