08:23 AM ET 07.18 | The Knicks ended their Las Vegas summer league yesterday and Eddy Curry was never seen. And he's tough to miss. Curry blew off summer league the way he has blown off the last three seasons of his Knicks career. Knicks officials were told he would come and never heard a reason why he did not. Curry is believed to be holed up in Chicago, where his wife recently gave birth.

They expect you to play, Bro?

July 18, 2010  09:51 AM ET

As a Bulls fan this comes as no surprise, Curry was always lazy. If the Knick's re expecting this guy to start at center this year they are in for another 25 win season. Maybe worst in the new east.

The poster boy for what went wrong with the Knicks.

July 18, 2010  09:58 AM ET

Guess what...now that LBJ who has the same agent as Eddy, did not come to the Knicks....no reason to be nice to Eddy anymore...I see Eddy as the next Starbury...sitting at home, ban from the the Knicks / MSG, just collecting a paycheck.

and this is a surprise?

July 18, 2010  10:03 AM ET

and the sad part is, some team desperate for a big man or just plain stupid will give him 4/yr $36 million next year

July 18, 2010  10:05 AM ET

"holed up in Chicago where his wife had a baby." extremely unfortunate choice of phrasing.

At least this is the final year of Curry's contract. I am surprised that the Knick's management are letting him get away with it. If he did commit to playing in the summer league, could they not fine him? Never mind, this is not worth contemplating........

Maybe he could just sit on the bench.

last i heard curry had lost even more weight and was actually lookin good...doesnt everyone realize this is his contract year so hes going to actually come out and play like he did a few years ago when he shoulda been an all star...its crazy to think of how much better the knicks could actually be if he was playing like he did when he first signed ....we woulda possibly gotten lebron if he was playin like that cuz wed easily have been a playoff team but ofcourse curry decided to just be fat and lazy once he signed his last deal...thats what hes going to do again though he will play hard sign a deal and then be a lazy **** again next year that phat waste of a roster space

curry better get smarter and come to play some ball this year. even HE can get a paycheck somewhere else with a desperate team next year.

The knicks are not counting on Curry at all. Thats why they got randolph and the russian as a backup. Curry needed to find a way to the summer league to show SOME commitment...hell amare and randolph showed up...

problem w/curry is that he does not fit dantonis system. Curry is a back to the basket low post player...knicks need a shot blocking center to cover for amare's D. Curry surely does not fit that role.

Just like everyone else!

I'll call it right now we have another year of the Knicks missing the playoffs. Thank god for the Timberwolves and the Clippers.

Gmanfan2 although you made the most outlandish predictions ever...although Walsh's plan was a bust, although last year's team didn't come close to the playoffs...

I'm glad you are still around supporting your team that's a true fan.
