LeBron hurt Cavs' free-agent bids

09:25 AM ET 07.18 | During the past two summers when free agents the Cavs were interested in called LeBron James, he was non-committal about his future. He hoped players would come play with him but he was not on the front of the recruiting lines. He was also unwilling to give any sign he was going to be in Cleveland long term. These tactics cost the Cavs several players, most notably Trevor Ariza last summer, who did not sign with the Cavs after not getting a commitment from James.

And, in other news, I am sure Lebron really feels awful about that.

Well since he did leave isn't that just being honest? James was non-committal because he was always leaving Cleveland. And Trevor Ariza was not going to change that.

Shouldn't LeFraud's non-commitment been a clue to the Cavs management?

Well he didn't help their free agent bids either. Bosh and Wade were never going to Cleveland.

Cleveland management had more then enoough warnings that Lebron was leaving. He never actively help recruit other quality players to Cleveland. during the period after their playoff loss to Boston, he wouldn't return calls, text messages or even talk to potential coach Tom Izzo. Then when new coach Byron Scott showed up at a gym wereLebron is having a camp, Lebron left without even speaking to or acknowledging dude. It like if your dating a woman and she stop calling or taking your calls.....you know its over. Cleveland screwed themselves.....They should have moved on in free agency and made moves before " The Decision". Bottom line, when you fall asleep at the wheel, the wreck and carnage is deadly!!!

The more and more artciles I see painting leBron as the "culprit" for Cavs condition, I'm tending to side more and more with him, and feel less and less bad for Cavs and Cavs fans!!!
When will cavs management start acting like grown men??? Now what about the "We will win a ring before the king" dumbness? What are they doing about that trash-talk? Chasing Marvin Williams LMAO !!!
Maybe Gilbert just meant an engagement "ring" for delonte and James's mom lol

LMAO....it just proves they still are as dumb as ever and their moves will be even more exploited as bad because lebron isnt there to make them look good despite the garbage they put on the floor

Rather than trying to explain it here, I'll refer everybody to an article written by Bryan Wyndhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer. His article is in the Sunday edition. He's been known to be a straight shooter and fair reporter, and throughout the years has been an ardent Lebron supporter. Lebron's camp trusted him enough to give him access that others didn't have. I don't have the link but there's access to the column on the internet. Check it out and tell us what you think.
