09:24 AM ET 07.19 | Thanks to a boost from Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment Ltd., Team Canada, which seemed on the verge of collapse, is heading in the right direction. Perhaps most important, Canada Basketball has shown that with support, it can succeed on the floor. Canada is one of just six countries to qualify for all four world championships this summer. The under-17 men's team won bronze in Germany last week, just the fourth medal Canada has ever won at the world level. To the well-managed go the spoils: MLSE is poised to approve a five-fold increase in its support for Canada Basketball in the form of a three-year agreement valued at about $1.5-million.

How many teams have cut him?

Thank you MLSE. It's about time some money goes into basketball, apposed to the millions put into hockey here.

There's quite a few Canadians on US College/University teams. The good ones go down there to play. Hopefully our College/University basketball programs will improve as well.

MLSE will destroy basketball in Canada, just like they've destroyed everything else.
