Brady too Hollywood for Pats fans?

07:48 AM ET 07.20 | Are New Englanders growing weary of Tom Brady? When you win, you earn the right to do whatever you want. But Brady hasn't won in a while. At what point does that begin to be a problem? The region is already growing restless. Whether fans want to admit it or not, some of them question whether Brady will ever be the same guy who fearlessly led the Patriots to those Super Bowl wins over the Rams, Panthers and Eagles with ice in his veins. They wonder what changed -- they wonder whether the problem is the knee injury or the Hollywood persona that Brady has adopted.

What have you done for them lately, Mr. Brady?

It happens... happened to Aikman.
Heck - it happened to Bradshaw.
Fans get a little fickle when success becomes a case of "what was" as opposed to "what is".

He's not hungry anymore. He was hurting last year, probably a rib injury, too. Surprisingly, the loss of Jabbar Gaffney hurt the team. He wasn't the star, but other than Randy Moss he was the only deep threat, which made it a lot easier to cover Moss. Besides, those ribs made it look like Brady couldn't throw deep even if a receiver was wide open.
The receiver corps looks questionable this year, too. Is Moss too old? How will Welker's knee hold up? Can Edelmann take up the slack? And then, there's the pass protection, and a fuggetaboutit running game.
Would you trade the smelly guys in a locker room in Foxboro for that babe in a bedroom in LA?

Problem with the Pats is they thing its an honor for a player to play for them, they don't pay their players well. The Pats run is over, Brady should leave and maybe back up Favre at Minnesota.

Pats fans aren't annoyed with Brady. They're annoyed with the Pats' defense and Laurence Maroney

Well stated... and that is where their annoyance should be directed.

Maybe but in this sport fairly or unfairly it tends to be the qb who gets the credit when a team wins and the blame when they don't

Absolutely. There are a lot of areas on the Pats that have declined over the past few years, but Brady isn't one of them. Fans should direct most of their discontent at management for not maintaining the overal quality of the roster. They are drafting and trading players apparently more for the sake of saving money than for winning. It worked for a while, but it's starting to catch up to them.

How many fans would like to be in the position of Pats fans? Pats fans should go back and watch the Super Bowl DVD's. I'm sure fans in New England share the same frustration as Browns and Vikings fans.

If I was sleeping with Giselle on a daily basis I might have a shift in priorities as well.

What a stupid article. Of course, everyone wants to win and will get frustrated when that doesn't happen. However, I don't think Pats fans are forgetting or no longer appreciating what Brady has done for that team.

On a serious note, I think you're exactly right. QB's always get far too much blame when things don't go exactly right and people (like the NESN) forget that their are lots of parts in the puzzle of building a winning Super Bowl team.
