07:51 AM ET 07.20 | Marc Bulger said all the right things about the Ravens QB situation not long ago, and, now, Joe Flacco has offered his thoughts. Flacco stressed that he is concerned only about how the situation affects his teammates. He made it clear that he doesn't want to sound critical of Bulger. "I don't want to have any bad words about Marc," Flacco said. "I'm sure Marc is a great guy. But I had a great relationship with Troy [Smith] and John [Beck]. Depending on what happens, one of them might not be around and two of them might not be around. We'll see what happens." Flacco said it's been an enjoyable experience working with quarterbacks Troy Smith and John Beck. But the recent signing of Bulger likely means Smith or Beck will get cut at the end of the preseason.

Sounds like he needs to concentrate on getting ready for heightened expectations instead of worrying about who is holding the clipboard.

I don't really see Bulger as being a threat to Flacco. Having said that nobody saw Kurt Warner as any threat to Trent Green or Tom Brady as any threat to Drew Bledsoe

Flacco is young, and he's proven that he's a very effective, playoff-caliber QB. He's going to be the starter for a long time, barring injury.
So, if he really does like Smith and Beck, he should be happy for them if they end up somewhere else. They're young too, and they might end up on a team where the starter isn't so well entrenched, or working behind some graybeard whose job they could inherit.

Flacco considers the other QBs to be friends and he's throwing them a bone. Non-story.
The Ravens made a lot of good moves this offseason. Picking up a veteran QB like Bulger to work with Flacco is another one. Bulger is experienced enough to give the kid some seasoning but not good enough to threaten him unless he totally chokes.

Yea but Trent Green and Drew Bledsoe got injured i thought. As for this situation, i cant see Bulger staying upright with even the best O-line in the league. He sucks! There should be no worries for Flacco at all.

The veteran leadership will help flacco develop, and Smith and Beck are not as quality a backup as Bulger. The bears were talking about picking him up which would have been a good move in my opinion for the same reasons. Sucks they are paying Bulger more than Flacco though!!

Troy Smith wants a chance to start and would welcome a fresh opportunity. Is anybody in Buffalo paying attention?

The really dumb thing here is that Troy Smith has been asking for a trade since February. He wants to start , anywhere.
He will be traded. Someone Tell Joe that Troy has been trying to break up for six months. Jeesh!

As a Dolphins fan, reading that someone has fond memories of John Beck is beyond my comprehension.

Got that right... Let's see what he does on a team with no D... I agree the kid has a strong arm, looks good, especially when the Ravens have never really given him a #1 receiver... But the Ravens have probably one of the most stalwart, if not the best defense in the league and they added two big pieces to it again this year... Watch out for Sergio Kindle... Again, it's the system; Flacco fell into the right system... Can't say the same for Stafford...yet.

Good one. And very true. Smith has some trade value, I suspect they MAY keep beck as the third QB. Or just let him go.

Bulger is very good...STILL. That O-Line in STL was abysmal and that's being generous. NO QB could handle that mess not even my boy Ben who's a large body. Bulger is a threat..mark my words.

Well, if Flacco did a little "manscaping" to make it appear as though he has two eyebrows, he wouldn't have such a broken heart.
