The Newark Star-Ledger reported yesterday that the Eagles may have interest in safety Will Demps, who reached an injury settlement with the Giants and is free to sign with any team.

Are the Eagles that must in need of a safety? They have nine on the roster as it is. Granted the talent drops off pretty quick after Dawkins
but Demps is not going to be much of a upgrade over any other safety they already have.
Perhaps Demps should stick to his modeling.Just a thought

I believe it was a stupid move cutting demps when we need experienced depth in our secondary.
All decisions should be made to ensure "wins on sunday" and personal differences should be a very distant second!

sounds more like the eagles want him for giants info

September 8, 2007  11:11 AM ET

fact is that he did not play very well last year for them. he may play well this year when he heals, they let him go because they like the guys they have better.

pw thats a dumb **** thing to say u idiot

September 8, 2007  11:41 AM ET

50year, after watching the preseason as i'm sure you did,
dalh surely didn't outplay anybody. The demps thing smelled of personal issues.
If dahl has to play we'll be in major trouble.
just my 2cnts

fool, sorry you are correct. the eagles want him for more depth at S. happy?

reality must be difficult for you.

As a Giant fan, I say, "Take him please!" Watch him take bad angles to the ball and then arm tackle.

giants will be in contention for the #1 pick, they will be HORRIBLE--manning won't do well....NICE TRADE NYG!!! I bet you guys wish you had Rivers and a chance to draft Merriman....can you say brohm to replace manning???

September 8, 2007  07:08 PM ET

bleech89 ....put the smoke pipe down, just put it down, for your own sake.....Could it be the bears wish they had anybody at quaterback but grossman. face it, eli is not the giants problem, and grossman is not the reason the bears had success last year....it is a twelve step program, but first you got to put the pipe down.

September 8, 2007  09:56 PM ET

if the Falcons don't wind up with Brohm, by virtue of finishing last or trading up, i will be pissed.

brainless joe = nobodys QB of the future

giantfbl ... you could be right, was an odd decision considering their secondary is the weakest part of the team. just got to have faith in reese to make the best decisions for the team. he is a football guy and knows players. he has a background in scouting and judging talent. hope he is right.

it will be james butler who will take that spot and do just fine, after him there is no one..

This is very similar to the Cowboys cutting their #3 CB Glenn. People here, and even players like Williams, wonder what in the world Jones and Phillips are doing since #3 CB and beyond are untested. Sometimes you have to go with someone's upside when you know the other guy's downside.
