Tubby recruits Sampson's kid

Ralph Sampson III, a 6-foot-11 senior from Northview High in Duluth, Ga., was at the Gophers football game during a Minnesota basketball recruiting visit. He said the visit went well and that he "really likes" new coach Tubby Smith. Sampson, who is 225 pounds and whose father is 7-4, said he's still growing and added that he has no favorites among Minnesota, Kentucky, Maryland, Clemson, Southern California, Virginia Tech and Georgia Tech. He also said he hasn't decided whether he'll commit during the early signing period this fall.

Tubby could always recruit, but he constantly has stars that come in and underperform. Hopefully Billy G. will be a more inspiring and motivating coach at UK.

Tubby will make him a better player than his daddy..damn..he is going to the big10/11 school..good for the league..we need to make sure and get an answer for him..and his size

His dad was pretty good, just had some nagging injuries that he couldn't shake later in his career....I can't wait to see the kid play...

One and done?!?!?!? He is barely in the top 100 rankings....projected as 15th best center....he'll play 3-4 years if he's smart.

you guys know , that he will go to kentucky, look at his other school...KENTUCKY, plus KY could use a good center, snub the tub sampson, go to a school that has rich tradition of butt kicking, not a sloppy program as Minnesota. with it's crap fan base.
