09:56 AM ET 07.24 | With the recent addition of Kurt Thomas, the Bulls have 11 players locked up and will be looking to add one more player -- preferably a guard -- to the roster in the next week or so. Derrick Rose made it clear Friday he hopes that player is Tracy McGrady.

Wherever Mcgrady goes it will be on the cheap so money is not a problem. The question is his attitude, I don't need him creating strife with teammates or coaches because he is working behind the scenes to get more shots or more playing time.

I would want a proven scorer who's hungry. If T-Mac is as healthy as reported, if he's any for of hungry, then D-Rose got a point. Pick him up. If not just leave this guy alone.

But i'm not gonna pass judgement on T-Mac, he's immensely talented and if he could be half of what he used to be, UGLY. wait and see.

meant to say "if he's any form of hungry" and "if he could be half of what he used to be, it could be UGLY".

Regarding T-Mac, if even the Clippers are not interested what does that say about the player? The Clips are only looking at him as a "gate attraction" and not as a "real" player. Sorry but IMO he is done.

TMac is that player who could have been a super, but somehow never made it.

I remember his going head to head against Kobe in LA one night, both of them putting up 30+ point games, and Tmac was only just edged out.

Though he will most likely never reach his potential at this late stage, the possibility of finding a low pressure situation where he can pull out his cape for a few sparkling minutes a game, just enough to earn his keep and possibly make the difference in key games still exists, especially now, with the emergence of the super team.

You're not a talent scout bro

Exactly. Rose needs to chillout. If teams like Houston, Knicks and Clippers have shunned him it means he's beyond repair. The guys had half of last season to prove if he can play again or not... and the answer is... TRACY's DONE!

July 24, 2010  02:13 PM ET

This is a low risk high reward addition to the Bulls. Tracy would be getting a min level exception contract. If he obtain any injuries, the Bulls will still be a strong force in the east. If Tracy stay healthy, his ability to hit jump shots and stretch the floor. will make them a better team. T-Mac knows that he is well past his prime but he still got something to prove and the Bulls give him that opportunity. T-Mac athletic ability have diminish but his jump shot is still good. With D. Rose pentrating the paint, drawing a double team, Tracy will be wide open on the 3, and Tracy can still hit 3's. If T-Mac plays well this move will make the Bulls the top 3 teams in the east behind Heats and tied with the Magic. If he doesnt play well they would be behind the Heats and Magic. Either way they are still a powerful force to compete with in the east.

why Bro?

T-Mac will be a nice addition for the bench. I say, go for T-Mac Chicago.

If they can get him cheap, I'm cool with it.

Derrick......wtf?Mclazy?? Really? Not to pick on Chicago fans, but if he is your franchise player, and hes interested in mclazy, you guys better hope your GM doesn't allow him any input into signing players.....

Stop hating now. T-Mac just coming out of NY. They are not expecting T-Mac to lead the team. He will just play for some mins here and some mins there. He will be good for the bench.
