Disgraced ex-NBA ref Tim Donaghy is being "unfairly demonized" by people falsely claiming he dared his wife to leave him, his lawyer said yesterday. Donaghy lawyer John Lauro blasted a published report yesterday attributing malicious comments about Kim Donaghy to her soon-to-be ex-husband. "Those quotes are false," Lauro said. "Those comments never took place." The report quoted an anonymous source claiming Donaghy has boasted that his wife would never leave him "if she knows what's good for her."

People would be less likely to 'demonize' him if he didn't have a snake tongue and little red pointy horns growing out of his head. OK, so maybe that's not completely true, but I don't think that the 'demonizing' that happens via this report is going to what happens to this guy and for how long...

None of this would even be made had the guy not spit in the face of his profession and NBA fans.

Not to be cruel, but who gives a flying frick what Donaghy thinks is unfair?

September 10, 2007  10:26 AM ET

If those quotes are true he even talks like a mafioso. "if she knows what's good for her."

My question is...who gives a "flying frick" about this dirt bags personal life anyway. If his wife knows what's good for her, she'll wait till he's in jail and then leave his a*s*s*.

I remember when this story wasn't boring.

I said it at the time and I'll repeat it now: the "gambling scandal" will not hurt the NBA going forward.

And if she doesn't know what's good for her, Guido and Vinnie "Knuckles" Petrucchio and maybe a few other of Donaghey's business associates will pay her a visit.

yes, of course...

Doesn't he looked like Steve Carell on that photo?

Yeah life is unfair, growup you sick sorry fruck!
You'r right, It is unfair that most of us can't travel and live in 5 star hotels and meet celebrities by LYING and CHEATING. What is this attorney thinking? get some sympathy?? I hope he loses everything he made and will beg in the streets for a drink

Donaghy, if you didn't want to be called a liar and a cheater, you should not have lied and cheated. I won't judge you. You stabbed your own knife to yourself.

Donaghy, the Modern-Day Houdini. While Houdini "cheated death," Donaghy tried to "cheat debt."
