07:56 AM ET 07.26 | This may be the ACC's year ... really. Many ACC teams have brutal non-conference schedules this season. A decade of sitting at the little kid's table could start to be forgotten if these four games can be won: 1. North Carolina defeats SEC power LSU in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome on Sept. 4. 2. Virginia Tech defeats Boise State in a Monday-night battle of top-five teams on Sept. 6. 3. Florida State defeats Big 12 power Oklahoma in a game between two teams that will likely be in the top 25 on Sept. 11. 4. Miami defeats Big Ten power Ohio State in Columbus on Sept. 11 in another battle of top-25 teams. Yes, it's that easy.

The ACC can leave the "kids table" if Va Tech can beat Boise State?

Wow....are expectations that low for the ACC?

That would be Oklahoma (OU).

#4 on that list is not going to happen. Forget it. Lets move on.

To me number 1 seems the least likely. There were times last year where Miami looked really good (destroying GaTech for example). No one expected them to beat OU either.

Thos are all pretty exciting games. Can't wait. Hard to believe Miami will beat OSU though.

July 26, 2010  09:18 AM ET

what about Duke beating Alabama where does that get us?

July 26, 2010  09:20 AM ET

My guess is the ACC will be lucky to win two of those games. Maybe "next" year will be the next "next" year ... or something.

Considering it was at Miami and Oklahoma was playing with their backup QB...I'd say the one-point Miami win was the least they could do. If Bradford plays, Oklahoma probably wins that game easily.

You're kidding yourself if you believe Miami beats Oklahoma WITH Bradford. End of story.

May never be.

UNC won't beat LSU. VT will beat Boise. Miami will shock OSU at the Shoe. My 'Noles will win a shootout with Zero U.

i still lol @ the fact you are so focused on bradford.. a couple of other key OU players were out too.

iirc, half of miamis starting defense was out as well, so whats your point? we could play the "what if" game all day long

21-20.
