Sharp-shooting Fernandez headed to big-market EC team?

08:28 AM ET 07.28 | Rudy Fernandez wants a little more from his NBA experience than he believes the Trail Blazers are willing to give him. Portland has engaged in accelerated trade discussions to deal the disgruntled, once-popular shooting guard to one of three Eastern Conference teams. Boston, Chicago and New York are all in the running to land the 6-foot-6 Spaniard, who set an NBA rookie record two seasons ago by making 159 three-pointers. Fernandez, 25, is unhappy in Portland because of limited playing time behind All-Star Brandon Roy and because of the playing style of coach Nate McMillan, who primarily used Fernandez as an outside shooter, not the playmaker Fernandez believes he can be in the NBA.

Rudy better hope to be traded to New York or Boston,....cause in CHI behind Brewer, Korver, same as in PORT the 3 wheel

We'd take him in NYC - In a heartbeat...

I like his game in NY, but depends on who they want in return.

This guy can play, its true he is limited in Portland and needs to go to a team where you can be set free and focus on playing. I still remember that nasty dunk he did on DHoward in the Olympics. Howard got a facial that day lol

I think the Bulls need him more. I hope they get him as they're very thin on the perimeter. On the other hand if they want Wilson Chandler I'm down for it. Y've done well on a rookie contract. You had a decent season with multiple injuries but then you get caught doing drugs in the summer. Smoking is bad for everyone let alone a proffesional athelete nursing a broken nose, pulled groing and ankle problems... DUMB PLAYER!!! . No wonder he's sometimes aloof on the court and makes dumb mistakes. Now that I know he's a pot head I look at his pics well and he always has swollen eyes. Trade him already. He doesn't deserve to be a Knick.

Come to LA bro! Gasol & Co are waiting for you :).

With the way our Knicks have been sucking up the league, the Knicks don't deserve to a Knick.

Call me a hopeless Knick optimistic, but I believe they have finally turned the corner and ready to make some serious strides in the Eastern Conference, and Rudy can contribute to that goal. I like Chandler, but getting caught using drugs and now being labeled as a pot head is a problem, that might just get him traded.

We have a lazy overweight injury prone center with a bad heart that we can send them.

Lmao, hey if they'll take it....

What??? The only difference between him and probably 75% of the other players in the NBA is that he got caught. Furthermore, you should stop talking about who doesn't deserve to be a Knick. With the way our Knicks have been sucking up the league, the Knicks don't deserve to a Knick.

Thank you for keeping it real.

I would actually agree for once, Rudy and Amare would go together nicely, add a solid pg to play pic in role with Amare and Rudy being Rudy be almost LIKE Timmy, Manu and Parker with the Spurs but before I get bashed from all the Knicks haters I said it would be LIKE not saying its the same talent but similar. lol

You forgot he's entering a contract year? Which owner would want to pay top dollars to pot head? I hope we trade him and before you go talking like Kobe when he got caught for cheating on his wife and told the world Shaq cheats too remember nobody else got caught but him. If all NBA players smoke pot secretely we don't know and don't care. All we know for a fact is that Wilson Chandler is a druggy. Do you want him on your team? Kobe's probably boned more prostitutes than Tiger Woods but we'll never know. Kobe's the one with the better image now. I mean whoever imagined Delonte West could be hitting Gloria?

lol, man do you monitor key words like Manu, Parker, Spurs, because you didin't waste time. You must got an alert text telling you to get on the computer. lol..

But if you read my comment I said it would be SIMILAR trio but not talent wise. Rudy has similar game like Manu as both are raw players. Remember Manu first couple of years in the league he wasn't polished and couldn't control his game kinda like how Rudy is now. Amare has ball on Timmy during the playoffs especially early in his career before the Knee injury but has had solid series against him through out his career.
