07:15 AM ET 07.29 | He may not be willing to carry pads, but Dez Bryant is more than willing to return kickoffs. Bryant appeared at kick off returner as the Cowboys trotted out the unit for the first time during the afternoon practice at the Alamodome. Special teams coach Joe DeCamillis was immediately taken with the possibilities. "He's special with the ball in his hands, and we're going to try to help him as much as we can," DeCamillis said. "He's got a chance to be exceptional." Bryant returned kickoffs and punts at Oklahoma State. He was more effective on punts, averaging 19.6 yards with three touchdowns on 22 tries. He averaged 23.8 yards with no touchdowns on six kickoff returns.

They're looking for excuses to keep our interest, this is a weak offering at best.

Like the "pad carrying incident", he said he didn't realize that they had something called "special teams".

That's a mean stiff arm...

You got that right. Wouldn't that suck to be a college player and your claim to fame is being photographed on the receiving end of a stiff arm or being burned on a big play?

He must feel like William Gay when he got trucked by Adrian Peterson last year. That was embarrassing.

A Dez story every day. Stay tuned for tomorrows episode. Dez takes a dump.

Good let him return punts/kick-offs so he'll get dinged up faster and be out
of the line up!

Was that the Pittsburgh game? I remember that! To do that is awesome, but to do something like that against the Steelers, a team known for having tough defense, is incredible.

He also ran over that DB from the Browns. I think his name was "Pantywaste".

as if he had a choice on whether or not he'll return kickoffs?

His refusal to show any respect to veterans just proves this boy is not a team player.
