07:19 AM ET 07.29 | While Portland is reportedly looking to move Rudy Fernandez quickly, that may mean next week, according to a tweeted update from Portland. "Rudy trade talks likely on back burner until Sunday. GM Cho tells agent Andy Miller he will meet w/coach McMillan in Vegas on Sun to discuss." The rumor mill has been buzzing with reports of the Celtics being in the mix to acquire Trail Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez, who is reportedly unhappy with his current role behind Brandon Roy. ... That doesn't mean, though, that speculation will be curbed until then. On Tuesday, Fernandez wrote in his blog, "There is gossip about my future and everyone asks me but I'm really just focused on the national team right now."

How about JR Smith for Rudy? Thats probably just wishful thinking though, I don't think JR is high on anybodys wish list.

We would like that!

Rudy had his chance after Roy went down injured late in the year and in the playoffs. Look at the tape and the stats, he sucked big time. No defense, no rebounding, even his shooting was awful. He is not an NBA starter, he was given the minutes he was begging for and he did not produce.

It looks like no matter where he goes he will be a backup. He just needs to find a situation where he can get some decent playing time. I think this is his final year so he needs to play for his next contract. That or go back to Europe......

This is one of the few times when going to Europe sounds like a awful idea, isn't it?

If Collangelo was smart he would move Calderon for a 26 of rye and a peperoni pizza. At least those two items would make fans more excited than anything Calderon can do.

Yeah, the guy is a backup that portland should've moved 2 years ago when his value was higher. Not sure why any team would be giving up anything of value for him at this stage

To be fair, the guy also just came back from injury so he didn't really get a chance to play much...
