Pipeline to OSU may lead Matta to title

08:24 AM ET 07.30 | Thad Matta may not have won a national title, but he's getting there. Consider that Matta has signed eight McDonald's All-Americans in his past five classes, and five of the McDonald's All-Americans ... were from the state of Ohio. The other three -- Mike Conley (2006), Greg Oden (2006) and Deshaun Thomas (2010) -- were from bordering Indiana, less than 200 miles away from the Ohio State campus, point being that Matta took over the OSU program at a time when the area was producing or about to produce a flurry of elite prospects. But Oden has been far from it. [Kosta ] Koufos (attended high school 128 miles from the OSU campus) and [B.J.] Mullens (attended high school 15 miles from the OSU campus) were also both talented enough to be one-and-done college players, and [Jared] Sullinger -- a Columbus native whom [William Buford said] is going to "be a monster" as a freshman -- will almost certainly have the opportunity to be the fourth Ohio State post player in the past five years to be selected in the first round when the 2011 NBA Draft rolls around next June.

I couldn't find a medium-sized version of this pic, but it's still good.

I love the job Matta's doing at OSU. I really hope the players on the team realize now (After seeing what happened with Oden and how Koufos and Mullins haven't gone straight from OSU to NBA starters) that staying in college is not a bad thing. Go Buckeyes!

Another good one, but possibly too wide for the "quoted text" allotted width.

Are you giving me a reason to add it to my "instant" queue?

I am a Buckeyes fan and to hear this is good news, but Thad, we want a TITLE. Not freakin' All-McDonald players. If they can't win a title, what's the point? We know you're a recruiting genius, but its time OSU wins a title. Evan Turner was a great player btw.(: Winning national player of the year.

Moving on to the next part of the assignment, Michelle Yeoh.

Not sure why several of Michelle's pics get the "Star Trek Hot Chick Blurry Lens", but oh well.
