White Sox setting up deal for Dunn or Fielder?

08:44 AM ET 07.31 | On Friday morning, Ken Williams finalized a deal sending Daniel Hudson and David Holmberg to the Diamondbacks for Edwin Jackson, he of the 149-pitch no-hitter and 5.16 earned-run average. What's Trader Kenny up to? Surely this is a move designed to get Adam Dunn from the Nationals, if not Prince Fielder from the Brewers. Surely it will be a part of something bigger, something more understandable and hopefully more productive.

Does FN have something against Fielder? Every picture shows him striking out or walking away from the plate in disgust.

Should be an interesting July 31. Sounds like a lot of teams are still trying to make moves. And it looks like Adam Dunn is for sure going to go somewhere....i've heard rumors of about 15 teams by now. Still think he's going to Chicago, Washington wants pitching pitching and more pitching and have made it pretty clear what they want from the Sox...

The Nats will be in trouble if they lose Dunn. They need hitters.

I would rather see them get a bat with Jackson, because I don't see how you just ship Hudson off when he was your top pitching prospect for another pitcher. Unless Don Cooper really does believe this kid has potential.

THE TWINS ARE STILL IN THEIR HEADS. It really doesn't matter who the White Sux go after.

The Nats need a lot of things. If they can pick up several pieces for Dunn, it would be worth moving him.

Well trading away most of their starting lineup probably didn't help either

The real rumor is that Prince Fielder is being sent over to England's No.1 cricket team for cash only. They need a bat to handle India/Pakistan's No.1 clubs..........ZZzzssst!

I want to see Fielder and Shaq go at it in a chicken-wing eating contest....I got my money on Prince

Fielder only walks away from the plate wishing there was still something on it to eat

it will take more than jackson to get dunn, maybe if the white sox add two more better prospects to the list it might works out!!

Why would anyone think anything else was coming? The fact is this trade of young prospects for talent that's already proven to be mediocre IS Kenny Williams M.O. (Prospect/Chris Young and El Duke for a 30 year old Javier Vazquez.) (Left Handed Power prospect Brandon Allen for 28 year old 4.8 ERA having Tony Pena) (Prospects De Los Santos, Gonzalez and Sweeney for a 27 year old Nick Swisher, then he didn't even have the good sense to keep Swisher and is searching around for a left handed bat with power after GIVING Swisher away, and trading away a Left Handed power prospect who was putting up better numbers in the minors than Gordon Beckham. Kenny Williams has proven time and time to be a manic over reactor. There's a reason we only have 2 playoff appearances in his decade long tenure.
