USC offers Scottsdale lineman

09:58 AM ET 07.31 | Southern California offered a scholarship to Scottsdale Saguaro offensive lineman Cyrus Hobbi. Hobbi, 6-foot-4, 285 pounds, is considered one of the best of a rich, deep crop of O-linemen in Arizona this year. Saguaro coach John Sanders said a couple of USC coaches filmed Hobbi at spring workouts in May. He said USC head coach Lane Kiffin recently saw the tape and called Sanders to tell him an offer is on the table.
