Will NASCAR shift final date to Vegas?

NASCAR has had trouble attracting drivers to its post-season functions, particularly those not ???required??? to attend. Wrapping up the racing in Vegas and following up with the banquet two to three days later should eliminate most of the excuses.

They can't even get the insiders to stay involved with Nascar. LOL

It makes sense to have the final race where the awards will be done. The only reason Homestead is last in season now is the weather.

How about having the Award Banquet where most of the teams are base, in Charlotte at the Hall of Fame maybe.

Another thing when the Owners talk about "cutting cost".....notice the plane that Jack had his landing accident in....own by Roush Fenway Racing.....Beechcraft Premier price $ 7.5 million to $8.25 million....wonder how many Start n Park teams have a JET.

Success in any field brings perks.

The only thing that makes sense is to put that race on their dirt track. That would eliminate another cookie cutter track. Heck, why don't we just fill the circuit with 1.5 milers.

I don't really care where the last race is, but it should be about six weeks earlier than it is.

I always feel bad for the winner of the last race because they are out shined by the driver that just won the championship. Vegas has better racing than Homestead anyways.

I've always wanted to see a dirt track on the schedule. It would be like the NHL's Winter Classic because it's taking the drivers back to their roots.

One of these races has to move to Kansas Speedway as a condition of the state allowing Speedway corp to open a casino on turn two of Kansas Speedway. The deal involved bringing an extra race to Kansas so there would be two.

Here's a CRAZY idea put it back at Atlanta where it belongs............not out west...........I forget where did NASCAR get it's start?????????????? Out WEST or down SOUTH............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree that the sport came from the South and it would be a good finish to the season. I like the idea of a dirt race more though. It probably won't happen though. I just think it would be neat to put them in a late model car with their normal paint schemes and let them bump and bang like a good old fashioned dirt race.

Let's face it, our sport is being killed by being "maintstreamed". In their attempt to get our sport to appeal to the masses, it continues to kill the fanbase that built the sport from its roots. Too bad really, I already miss it!

I don't think the drivers and crew can afford another weekend in Vegas

Good day for Kyle. Kahne drives Kyle's truck to a second place and Kyle wins another Nationwide. Harvick runs second and then he gives Kyle a ride back to Pocono on his plane.
