The Jets refused to give left guard Pete Kendall a $1 million raise this season because he still had three years remaining on his contract, ultimately trading him, but they've done just that with Brandon Moore. The veteran right guard has signed a new contract that will raise his base pay this season to $1.8 million, according to an NFL source - coincidentally, a $1 million raise.

This is just a way for a team to say "Hey, it really was personal all along." Funny.

hope screwing up the line and their season was worth winning the **** contest.

September 12, 2007  09:32 AM ET

And we come to find out that the Pats lie cheat and steal for the BENEFIT of their players, not the detriment...

All teams are guilty of something....it's just a matter of degrees....

September 12, 2007  09:43 AM ET

Yikes! How did that taste Kendall?

September 12, 2007  09:55 AM ET

I'll tell ya how it tastes chaz, just like a hot carl....not that I know what one tastes like....I mean my friend...uh....hmmm....

September 12, 2007  09:59 AM ET

I still have no clue why the Jets would weaken their O-Line by getting rid of Kendall. Chad was getting hit from every angle on Sunday.

September 12, 2007  10:03 AM ET

Thats what these jags get and you seen on sunday they really need Kendall!!! Magini ur not Belichek and your team is not either that stunt you pulled with Kendall lost your season you dumb sob!!!!!

September 12, 2007  10:24 AM ET

I love the stupidity of it all.... J-E-T-S...HA-HA-HA

September 12, 2007  10:31 AM ET

Thanks again J-E-T-S for dumping Kendall. I thought he played pretty good on Sunday. Plus, you only gave up 5 sacks against the Pats.

September 12, 2007  11:29 AM ET

One teams trash is another teams treasure. They treat him like trash we can treat him way better. Football is chess not checkers

September 12, 2007  01:54 PM ET

Only gave up 5 sacks...? What? Chad is not even playing on Sunday (if the reports are true). What??

September 12, 2007  02:11 PM ET

Another example of the Jets just trying to be known only for Broadway Joe.

Yes, they messed up the Kendall deal. Maybe they learned from it and moved on. For their fans sake, I hope so. If they are good enough and you need them bad enough, pay them. If not, call their bluff. Just be sure you are right in evaluating their worth.
