08:28 AM ET 08.01 | A big part of the Timberwolves' building process is expected to take part next February before the NBA's trade deadline, when teams make some high-priced players available. "We have positioned ourselves financially so if some team wants to unload a player because of salary, we don't have any restrictions anymore," Wolves owner Glen Taylor said. "We can do now (financially) what many teams can't. We're not done."

They're not done, simply because they never started! They're are stuck in the start blocks, never to come out!

Why Kurt took this job I will never know....If he had hung out in LA he would be a prime candidate to replace Phil after next season.....

True, but if you listen to many lakers players including Kobe, that's Brian shows job! They can't say enough good things about him!

....and we thought McHale was bad. This team gives new meaning to the term tanking. Now they're willing to accept the leagues overpaid underachievers. Maybe Ricky Rubio is smarter than we thought.

Is it just me, or has Rambis aged about 5 years since becoming a part of this mess?

So what they're really saying is "Make no mistake about it... We won't be good this year - but can take on Over priced stiffs at the deadline next year".

The Knicks might be able to unload Eddy Curry on them.

And MINN should be way under the CAP, once / if Twolves dump West, should be around $46m,...so could take a $12m contact for nothing, but a 2 round pick

But at the same time it looks like teams also under the CAP by $8m or more still like MINN, > CHI, CLEV, LAC, NETS, OKC, SAC, who might have more to Offer

Is it hunting season, Bro?

Not this year unless Melo is willing to be traded to Minn... Even then they won't be able to keep Melo because he will be headed to NY...

you dont know that at all.....you have to wait until the season gets under way...but yes every year guys are up for sale at the trade deadline
