09:56 AM ET 08.02 | Marty Turco, rumored for a few hours to be headed to Chicago, according to "various NHL sources," would have liked to sign in Philadelphia. In late June, Turco, a free agent, told ESPN.com that he had turned down a three-year, $6 million contract offer from the Flyers, who denied the offer though they were given permission by the Dallas Stars to contact him in advance of free agency. "We would have loved to go to the Flyers, but it's not happening," Turco texted CSNPhilly.com late Saturday from Scotland.

I like Peter Pocklington syndrome better. At least his name can be associated with hockey ... for worse or for worser. ;)

I grant you Daly's a stretch but do you really think there's people out there wanting to emulate PP?

What a moron. He could have been playing for someone who would have been contending for the cup.

Apparently he will just for less money and no term(one year)

Sure they can almost afford a whole roster as long as 1/2 of them play for the league minimum

Turco wanted to wear orange
What like those prison issue jumpsuits

August 2, 2010  04:33 PM ET

And it's official, he'll be wearing the warrior head jersey next year instead of orange. We'll have to find out how much the 'Hawks gave him, but this seems like the smart move. Except that it will give more opportunities for Turco's continuance of Joe Louis nightmares.

Goalies with comparable $$$ to other players are becoming a endangered species!

Thanks Rickety!!!!!!

I'm still in shock over the Halak trade(if ya can call it that), as that was a very silly move, and too bad we couldn't see Halak in Chi-Town, just for **** and grins! That would have been something!

I'm tired, and was making a feeble attempt at a joke, but.............

............the results no so good!

Oh and I don't know here I posted that measurement of 29 inches, he was french and it could have been less............

The guy I was fishing with was french, but I have no idea the back round on the pike, as it got hit over the head with a paddle.
