09:36 AM ET 08.04 | Andres Nocioni should be ready by training camp, which is good news for the 76ers, but not-so-great news for Argentina. Nocioni sprained his ankle last Friday while training with the Argentinean national team for the upcoming FIBA World Championships in Turkey. Sixers doctors just got a look at the film from the injury and have said it looks like a lateral sprain, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Those take three to four weeks to heal properly. That would have Nocioni back at the start, or maybe the second round of the World Championships, though maybe not at 100 percent.

As a Bulls fan, I have to say I miss Andres Nocioni. He was like a scrappier version of Jud Buechler...

August 4, 2010  11:40 AM ET

Not just scrappier.......Noc was WAAAAAAY better in every way than Buechler.

I hope he makes it back, especially since Argentina's glory years window will be closing soon. Maybe they'll have one final act in the 2012 Olympics.

Aw, that sucks, Argentina. You can suck it up and deal with it. The picture is hurting my eyes! I'mma sue! Just kidding!(:

LOL...a jud buechler reference? Wow...

I had to do it; but I will concede that Nocioni was a far better player

Nocioni's best days are behind him........Typical Sixer pickup. Matter of fact it's not a typical Sixer pickup, it's a typical Philly sports team pickup. We love a washed up player
