Bjelica, Rubio in Minnesota for 2012?

09:46 AM ET 08.04 | Waiving Delonte West was not the only transaction Minnesota completed Tuesday. Timberwolves second-round pick Nemanja Bjelica on Monday signed a five-year contract with a buyout option to leave for the NBA after two years with Spanish club Caja Laboral, the team for which newly signed Spurs prospect Tiago Splitter played. That buyout option would place Bjelica, a point guard in a 6-foot-10 power forward's body, with the Wolves in 2012, which also could be the year Ricky Rubio joins them if the 2011-12 NBA season is lost, or mostly lost, to labor strife. Bjelica will be 24 if he joins the Wolves in two years.

LMFAO, I love how they mentioned he's a PG in a forward's body! That must be the buzz word there or something!

The Timberwolves shouldn't even deserve a whole article lol

With all these guards, maybe the Timberwolves are planning to join the 'And 1' tour. They can't possibility be thinking about competing in the NBA.

I'm I dreaming or is this for real?

Maybe Bejlica can convince Rubio that Minny has some decent Paella and Sangria so that he won't miss home too much...

i was confused when they drafted that guy he didn't seem to fit the team strategy of an all pg starting 5, but it makes sense now

I agree. If the Wolves can get Rubio to come and talent like Beasley starts to live up to their promise, they may be a competitive team in the future, which is the goal in the first place. With all the angst over the Vikings and the Wild playing mediocre, it would definitely be help to make the Wolves relevant in this town again.

Way to go FanNation. Last week they named the Timberwolves the worse managed team in the league. This week they offer the proof.

I think someone's reading Wolves wrong. With Darko at 5 and Beasly at the 4 spot... that's some scary **** front court.

I don't even understand why the Timberwolves signed these players. If they aren't gonna play, why draft them? They should have gotten someone else than Rubio.
