Rangers not likely to fade

08:28 AM ET 08.05 | Thanks in large part to Cliff Lee and a leaking ship in Anaheim, the Rangers are nearing playoff lock status. The talent drain out of Orange County also has included longtime stars John Lackey and Chone Figgins, and this time, the replacements haven't filled the bill. Longtime prospect Brandon Wood continues to fizzle, the young bullpen arms haven't stepped up, and when you're promoting journeymen such as Cory Aldridge and Paul McAnulty from Triple-A, you know the upper levels of your system are void of young position-player talent. In fact, you can make the case that with Kendry Morales out for the season, Torii Hunter is the lone Angels starter who is clearly better than his Rangers counterpart.

Maybe Josh Hamilton will relapse. It could happen.

Now that the ownership mess is closer to being finalized after a marathon bidding session all night and into early this morning they can finally operate like a real club. And finally say good riddance to Tom Hicks.

Carefull creature of the Evil Empire - the force is strong with this one.
It may be to your liking, if Lee discovers the power of the dark side, but I find your lack of faith in his decision making, disturbing.
There is a need to band together to defeat the deep pockets of the evil Emperor. To come together as one force - we must alert all communities, calculate every possible destination along the way. Lee must be made aware, if he chooses to walk the quick and easy path as a-Wad did - he too, will become an agent of evil

Nolan Ryan as Obi-Wan Kenobi shall lead the hurler to the side of good and Lee shall show the young Jedi-Rangers the path to success.
