07:10 AM ET 08.06 | Champ Bailey has always been in any discussion of the league's top cornerbacks, but he went on the record to support Darrelle Revis. "I was reluctant to give it to anybody because I thought I was the best," Bailey said when asked about Revis on 104.3 the Fan. "But I've got to give it to him. He's better than anyone right now." Revis is currently holding out of the Jets' training camp in a contract dispute, and Bailey doesn't blame him. "If I was making what he's making, I'd probably do the same thing," Bailey said.

Looking like it's gonna be a LONG season for Champ...

The Jets really need to git 'er done on a new contract for Revis, dontcha think?

Is Revis being reasonable in his demands, or does he want break-the-bank, break-the-cap money? What's the problem here?

Revis is probably more important than Sanchez to the success of that team.

If Dumervil is out of the lineup, and the Denver D-line can't get a pass rush on the opposing QB, Bailey is going to be undressed by a lot of receivers.

namely vincent jackson (twice)....

Champ aint even top 5 anymore. As much as Revis is a great corner, he still is not better than Nnandi Assumugha. The guy covers so well that he literally gets like 12 passes thrown his way all year. He even did that with a broken hand. Truth is Truth. Nnandi is the goods!

I belive they are, interchangably, 1 & 2 best in the league. I wouldn't say one is, without a doubt, leaps and bounds better than the other. they're both great.

Charle Woodson is the best, in Greenbay the really play man to man no help up to.
Rex Ryan has a great system so Revis is flurishing in it. What did Revis do the year Prior and he let Ginn for Miami fry him in two games because Miami actually attacked him. Don't get me wrong but i think he's the 4th, 5th best corner.

Given the unemployment picture in this country, ANYONE "holding out" for MORE millions of dollars on top of their current salary of millions of dollars is NOT being reasonable.

Really?? Put yourself in that situation. I'm sure you answer would be differrent.

lol. charley and the boys might want to rethink that man to man you say they play.
He was on the field when the Cardinals set the NFL play off record for points scored in that 51-45 game the Pack lost last January.
Reevis is the best. And getting better. That is not a knock on woodson, just the way it is.
