08:43 AM ET 08.07 | The NBA might save James Dolan from himself. The league is investigating whether Isiah Thomas' consulting contract with the Knicks while he is the Florida International head coach abides by NBA rules. The NBA conceivably could block the move. NBA front-office personnel are not allowed to have contact with college players until they declare for the draft. Thomas' role as consultant was specified in a Knicks release as advising on the college draft.

The NBA can't block it!!!

Again, I believe the Knicks made the GS deal to sure money for next year FA???s. This does not mean they will not try and win! Just the plan is again for next year!! Remember my saying this last year? Remember my saying Donnie put everything on 23 black? We last 3 high draft picks Amare! Is Amare worth 3 draft pick & Lee? Hell No. No to mention the word on the street is Amare is not here without

ISIAH! Wait! Everyone wants to play for D???antoni Right? Why did Amare, Donnie and Mike ALL Thank ISIAH?

There is a top 5 teams in the east Boston, Orlando, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta! Forgot Booser to CHI.

Philly under achieved and got better on paper!
Indy had 32 wins last year and got better on paper!

Therefore the next group of 5, Mil, Char, Philly, Indy and Yes I am putting the wizard in this group. Washington won 26 games without wall or arenas! This alone could be worth 8 - 10 games. I like what I saw in Magee working with walls this summer. Indy by a thread!!!

Therefore I believe without seeing the new Knicks play a game,
NY,
Detroit
NJ,
Tor
Clev

To me before I see a game, the Knicks are 9 to 11. This may change, but I have major concerns! The loss of LEE, Harrington, Nate and house will be missed.

Again, the Knicks will be asking guy that have never closed games to win down the stretch! I want the Knicks to win too but I need to see it!

This is not what I'm wishing for just what I see!

Donnie must be held accountable for beating on 23 black, and losing!!!!!!!!
Yes a GM must gamble! That said there is a price for failing!

There is a difference in rational thinking, optimism and delusional. For 2 years I have write rational things to help the delusional. Optimism is one thing.

Delusional is most of you! Wishful thinking doesn???t win games!!!!!!!

Its okay to say DAMN there are teams better then my team!!

August 7, 2010  09:09 AM ET

The Knicks are on paper a playoff TEAM only to the delusional!

Can they get there, yes, but that will mean someone or 2 players will have a career year!!!!

Short of that forget it!

The Knicks should consider themselves fortunate they play in the east, because they always have a chance to make the playoffs. They play in by far the worst division in the NBA, maybe in all of professional sports. They SHOULD be better than last year. Then again, 29 wins should not be that hard to surpass. We'll see.

Here we go again, Bro.

August 7, 2010  09:30 AM ET

I dont want Isiah making ANY basketball decision. He can email his recommendations to the front office. That aside, you really have to question the sanity of the Knicks front office. After a decade of ineptitude how can you logically bring back a guy that was synonymous with losing and everything that was wrong with the team. The management does not have any respect for the fan base or they would not make this move. The NBA needs to force Dolan to sell. Jermone James, Jarred Jefferies, Eddie Curry.

August 7, 2010  09:31 AM ET

Boston will win the division! I think we agree there!

There is a top 5 teams in the east Boston, Orlando, Miami, Chicago and Atlanta!

So the Knicks are today fighting with Mil, Char, Philly, Indy and I think the wizards. The Knicks need to beat out 3 of these teams!! Can they, yes but on paper Hell No!

The Knicks are a different team, Not sure better!

Isiah got you Amare, how do you feel about that?

Okay! What about Ariza, Frye, Lee, Nate, Balkman, Chandler should I go on?

All of these players were drafted late 1st or 2nd and are doing well in the league.

If Isiah is only doing this, what is wrong? Again, how do you feel about Amare!

Yeah, he was instrumental with getting Amare, but honest where else was Amare going to go, and get the same $.

If Isiah is such a valuable recruiting tool for the Knicks, why is Lebron in Miami? Amare seemed just as desperate to go to NY as NY seemed desperate for ANY big name guy they could throw 100 million at

QUOTE(#13):

I remember those drafts, and besides Nate and Lee the Knicks took the best projected player available. And only Lee is an Allstar. I'll admit he knows basketball talent, but after what the fan base suffered through, the last thing they want to see is more Isiah.

Other players took less money to go other places.

You could be Right, but why did all 3 thank him?

Reports are Isiah started late in the game.

That said LBJ and his friends decided years ago to play together!

That is what makes Donnie gamble worse!!!!!

You can say I am a Homer, but Milwaukee should be in your Top 5 in the East,...cause this year FULL season of John Salmon at oG, added Drew Gooden at pF should complement Bogut at Center, traded for Corey Maggette to start at sF, only giving up two third string bench players Charlie Bell, and Danny Gadzuric.

So I put Milwaukee in over Atlanta, maybe even Chicago.

Amare Stoudemire should take Lebron out to dinner, buy him a car, and send his mom flowers to thank him for the $100 million contract. The Knicks spent years trying to get all their financial ducks in a row for....Amare Stoudemire. I can't imagine how bad that stings as a Knicks fan

I'm good with that, I like your team. No question, better then the Knicks.
