08:22 AM ET 08.09 | Many believe the Pistons will ultimately move Tayshaun Prince, who's entering the final year of his contract. A second source said that the team would not trade Prince unless the veteran asked to be dealt, and even if that happened, a trade would probably not happen until closer to the trade deadline next February.

I think they have no choice but to trade him...but if they are loyal they let him ride this out

What can they get back from an aging Prince?

August 9, 2010  09:12 AM ET

Prince is a $11.1m expiring contact, and even after his off the books, DET next year Cap is still $46.9m with Rip, Ben, CV#31 contacts....and no big name FA's beside Melo in 2011...so I say Gone if Joe D can find a trade for a C/pF....say Okafor $11.5m if NOH blew thing up and rebuilt.

How many non scoring undersized Centers do the Pistons really need to pair up w/ their 3 undersized over shooting combo guards?

August 9, 2010  09:21 AM ET

utah gets t.prince 11.1 million (exp), r.hamilton 12.5(3 seasons left)

Time to rebuild, Bro.

Honestly, I understood the CB trade as a way to rebuild on the fly....But that was 3 years ago. He does deserve a little more leash for he championship....but that was what 7 years ago? Leash is running out

from seven years

it runs down like this
1 NBA Championship
1 finals appearance (lost)
3 conference finals
1 first round loss
1 no playoff appearance

he deserves more than another year.,..........if you fire him , who is better than what he has done?

EXACTLY! It's got to be the right deal. Here's a thought, If Sheed doesn't retire, Big Baby is expendable.
Tayshaun to BOS
Baby + 1st round pick (very late) to DET

The plan is always to find a top-flight talent and build around him. As there are only 6-12 of these in the league, this is next to impossible. The next best thing is to stock as many B-grade talents as possible.
