09:07 AM ET 08.10 | Graig Cooper, injured in the 2009 season's final game, is making his way back to the field. "We're easing him into more drill work," Randy Shannon said. "Now he's starting to bang a little bit on the sleds. We hit him with the dummies just to get the contact. As time goes on you expect him to do a little bit of contact drills next week, maybe some inside run stuff, some 7-on-7, not the team stuff because that can take a toll on you." Cooper guaranteed on media day last week he would play in all 14 of UM's games this season. Yes, he's already counting the ACC Title game into the schedule.

cooper was a victim of that awesome field in orlando for the bowl game.. personally i would rather have him sit out the year and not risk destroying his knee again.. we are good at RB with or without him (thats not a knock on him at all).. lus is right, berry will be the man.. followed by lamar miller/mike james & ive been hearing storm johnson appears to be the truth as well..
fwiw, sentreal henderson has been getting some rave reviews.. havent heard that much hype about someone in quite a while, which is rather surprising to me..

If you have not heard anything about his dad, you should count that as a major positive too. Nobody questioned Sentreal's ability to play, they were just weary of the father.

A big nasty road grader would be handy to have when you head north to Big 10(12) country, is he gonna see the field that early?

They have a scrimmage tomorrow and the 2s should be getting a lot of work, which apparently means SH will be seeing some action. RS has said he won't comment on his ability and where he'll fit in until he sees him in live action.

I agree with your post, SVT. I love Coop, but I wish he had redshirted a year and came back with a vengeance the following. The fact that he HAS rehabbed to get back now will likely mean that Randy will feel obliged to give him touches even if he's not 100% healthy or effective. With our super deep RB stable we simply don't need him this year - though like you said, by NO MEANS is that a jab at Coop - and I worry it could throw things off. I personally would rather have seen Storm be our RB3 or RB4 and give Cooper another year, now instead Storm will likely redshirt and if one of our other two get hurt and Coop doesn't seem 100% it could be a detriment. Though we'll see, one thing's for sure, I respect the hell out of Coop and wish him nothing but the best. He's a great player!
Good to hear about Seantrel. Gator97, it was never about his ABILITY to play, but rather his ability to get conditioned and pick up the game in time to have an impact THIS year (and ideally early this year due to our grueling start of the schedule) due to him not being here in the Spring. If he proves talented enough that he can actually plug in early and have a positive impact that could be a big big plus for our o-line and in turn out entire offense when we'll need it most!

I had forgotten about him. It's awesome that Storm chose to be a Hurricane.

Dang it! I'll take your word for it, since you seem to be in the know, better than most writers. I guess Storm Klein, will settle for any RB that ties to make a yard though. It's getting close to crash time. GO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!
