Palmer comfortable in diva central

07:54 AM ET 08.11 | Rather than worry about what could go wrong, Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer appears to have his sights set on what the offense can do with the "All-Diva" receiving corps of Terrell Owens, Chad Ochocinco and Antonio Bryant. Palmer is happy mostly because the Bengals have the kind of weapons to make their passing game legit once again. By the end of last season, the Bengals' passing game was neutered by injuries and inconsistent play from everyone except Ochocinco. "The defense would roll three people to Chad's side and we were done," said Palmer, who led the Bengals to the playoffs for the first time since 2005.

Hope he is 100% recovered this season. His arm looked really tired last year - the shoulder had to be bothering him.

If he is healthy, the Bengals can go far... very far!

Keeping those weapons pointed at the enemy will be the challenge. I don't see how they can spread the ball around enough to keep all three happy and still have any kind of a running game.

Very true.

The Bengals could make a run this year and their offense should be greatly improved.

They're gonna make it very interesting in the AFC this year.

Gotta agree with you... If Palmer goes down... Ewww, could get ugly...

August 11, 2010  08:33 AM ET

He's hoping he'll blow out his knee before either Mushmooth or Ocho Psycho throws him under that bus.

August 11, 2010  08:36 AM ET

As long as the receivers play, the bengals can go far. If T.O. starts having alligator arms again, then trouble could be brewing.

August 11, 2010  08:50 AM ET

This team has 9-7 written all over it.

August 11, 2010  09:13 AM ET

Another team I want to see do well this year. so we got the 1) Raiders. 2) Bengals. 3) PACKERS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!!!....sorry sometimes that just slips out. I try to keep it under control, I just can't help it. some time its...VIKINGS STINK!!!! oh well.

No its just all the Favre hoopla, that's been going on has made me a little manic compulsive.

August 11, 2010  10:04 AM ET

Rumor here in Cinci is that Antonio Bryant may never play again. The knee is worse than they thought and they are hung for 7 million. Its a good thing Palmer loves Shipley so much. Most likely it will be Ocho, Owens, and Shipley.

I know it was only the first roll of preseason, but judging from the first ten minutes of the game Sunday night, Bengal fans shouldn't get their hopes up yet.

If Favre comes back, the Pack won't win crap. I bet that stings. ;)

You got it. That offense is very suspect. Again. Palmer is a big question mark. He is not the same player he was before the injury.

It's almost the middle of August... let's see how Palmer feels about things at the Bengals' bye week.
