Two other possible bidders are expected to visit The Palace of Auburn Hills, according to sources familiar with the procedure, who asked not to be named. Bidders have signed non-disclosure agreements with the Pistons as part of the process. Mike Ilitch announced Monday the Ilitches have informed the Pistons that they intend to make an offer. ... Illitch makes for a good owner. He's not afraid to spend big in baseball or in hockey (prior to the new CBA). Personally, so long as they stay in SE MI I'm cool with whoever buys them.

I am not sold on Illitch. His Tigers were horrible for the better part of 15 years!

Nice! When I saw that picture I couldn't pinpoint who he looked like. But Manilow on crystal meth is a good comparison.

I wouldn't want to own the Pistons now. They have a good history, but I don't know how you can expect people to support the Pistons with the tough economical times of Detroit.
