UGA's Murray not up to par in scrimmage

08:25 AM ET 08.12 | While Mark Richt was "largely pleased" with Aaron Murray's scrimmage performance on Tuesday, his position coach seemed less so on Wednesday. Offensive coordinator Mike Bobo said he was "a little disappointed" with Murray's performance. Most of his ire was directed at an interception in the end zone, which Bobo called a "bonehead decision ... throwing it up for grabs." ... Whether or not the scrimmage itself went well, the film study of it did, according to Bobo. "We learned from it on tape (Wednesday), and he had an excellent practice today in standing in the pocket, trusting the protection and cutting the ball loose," Bobo said. "And that was good to see. The other day (Tuesday) wasn't particularly up to par."

I am starting to think Richt is just trying to put a positive spin on anything he can. I think he is starting to feel some heat even though he is one of the more successfull coaches. Sorry **** but I am pulling for the Dawgs this year in the cocktail party.

I am sorry but I have to disagree with what you are saying. I do not believe that Murray has done any facelift bar.

This is a total non-story, but at least it is a non-story from an actual practice, as opposed to the non-stories from last month.

Nothing against UGA fans, but what's with the current stance of "We're not Alabama. We don't fire coaches." They fired Goff and they fired Donnan. And if they don't start winning the SEC again, are they truly telling us they won't fire Richt?

Just a clarification. Yes, I know we have fired more coaches in less time. We had reasons to, though. You fire coaches for not getting the job done or for just repehrensible behavior, and not winning the SEC should be considered in most peoples' minds as "not getting the job done".

Edited out of the interview, the reporter's follow up questions concerned how the QBs shake it off - a certain number of times, game day rituals... A visibly disquieted Bobo stuttered the reply that nobody does more than they have to for cleanliness.

August 12, 2010  12:35 PM ET

Sorry for bringing Alabama into the disciussion, even though I was referencing UGA fans and how they have been talking about us. I wouldn't want a troll to think I bring Alabama into all the discussions.

One could fill an entire BB thread with all those pears.

The boards seem quiet today. Maybe there is more "science" being conducted over at HCWD...
