Fortunate they are, indeed, to be coveted by such a model franchise.

Run as fast as you can.

Why would the Pirates want to re-sign these guys?

Why would these guys want to play for such an awful team?

I would get sick of the "maybe next year" thoughts every single year.

The Pirates will always suck.

PIRATES SUCH POOR ORGANIZATION AND THIS IS WHY

we have been pretty bad recently but these are two very good young players. good idea to extend them. i think you three bashers above me are forgetting that sanchez won the batting title last year.

Why Pitt WHY?

Obviously the Bucs are following the successful bidness model of the Orioles....SUCK AT ALLLLL COSTS!

the pirates will try but no one is sayin' if they will be able to keep those guys, i mean right now we see the pirates not even as a contender in that division and the division is the weakest in the majors, so i say if i was sanchz and capps, leave while u got the chance.

top performers, indeed. Ahem...I`m surprised FanNation hasn`t declared one to be a "slugger", the other a "premier closer", hohohoho... they will shoot for the stars next year, the goal of going 72-90 is within their dreams.

Hey folks - Freddy's numbers this year (after a slow start) are comparable to Derek Jeter. I'm not saying he's as good as Jeter (at least not yet - he'd need to string a lot more great numbers together), but he's definitely a player.
Not his fault he's surrounded by a poor organization. At least the brand new management appears to be trying now...
