One week after visiting Athens for Georgia's loss to South Carolina, Orlando Boone wide receiver Jeremy Brown committed Saturday night to Florida. Brown, Scout.com's 15th-ranked receiver, broke the news after taking in the Gators' rout of Tennessee at The Swamp. "The game was amazing," Brown told Scout.com. "I've never seen anything like it in the world. At times, I could feel my seat shaking." The 5-foot-10, 170-pound Brown also had considered scholarship offers from Auburn, Georgia, LSU, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Wisconsin.

what a surprise?!?!? NOT - after watching the spread offense played to perfection and realizing that Meyer refuses to put his Offense in any rut, any WR with half a brain realizes he'll get plenty of action at the Gators right away... if he delivers!

let's see... how many different players scored TDs for the gators last night? 6?!?!

September 16, 2007  11:23 AM ET

What kinda no duh decision was that.

September 16, 2007  11:42 AM ET

This means nothing until he signs on the dotted line. However, what wide receiver wouldn't commit to Florida after seeing what that offense could do?

September 16, 2007  01:32 PM ET

Don't even talk about hot chicks, Mr. Playboy, b/c UGA is #1 in the hot coed department. UF doesn't even come close in that department; I would know b/c the gator tail I've seen in Jacksonville is not all that great.

In football, he could've been recruited by UGA saying, "Hey, these WR's can't catch a cold. Why don't you step in and show them how it's done?" After the USC game, the WR core looked pretty bad.

September 16, 2007  02:21 PM ET

florida sucks

September 16, 2007  04:55 PM ET

hey how bout em.... isnt UF in gainesville and not in jacksonville? and dont be bitter about losing to USC... sorry your team is bad =/

September 16, 2007  05:42 PM ET

^It is, but UF plays UGA in J'ville it is formely known as the worlds largest outdoor cocktail party.

But anyways, that is true it is still an unfair assement; because, I'm sure all the Gator nation honeys have better things to do then ride to J'ville and see UGA get their **** kicked.

September 16, 2007  11:23 PM ET

Yeah yeah yeah. My assessment isn't just b/c of J-ville; Herbstreit gave UGA #1 in the prettiest coeds department (UF was #3 tho). I was talking to Mr. Playboy too, not you Tigator.

I like how a UF/FSU/UM fan, Miami Giants, tells me my team is bad. You're not doing any better with 1/3 of your teams doing well. I got too much I could say against FSU and UM, but I don't hate those teams so I won't talk crap about them.

I swear these boards are about sports and not about women....

This title should read, "Recruit picks Gators over Tigers, Bulldogs, Tigers, Tar Heels, Irish, and Badgers."

Gator girls wear jean shorts....just like the rest of the trash in Florida

September 17, 2007  01:07 PM ET

Wow, the "gators wear jean shorts" just doesn't die. Let's get this straight, as a gator, i have never worn jean shorts. Also, it's like the pot calling the kettle black. i have seen numerous Georgia fans outside alltell stadium in jean shorts. The ones that aren't in jean shorts are in those oh so practical cocktail dresses, high heels, full makeup or for the males slacks and a button down.
Georgia, don't be bitter, get better.
Go Gators!

September 17, 2007  08:25 PM ET

Nobody decent will commit to UGA until you get a coach. You haven't won squat in years. Eventually, UF will have so many recruits that some talent may drop to you - nobody wants to be 7th on the depth chart - but until you do a better job coaching, you won't do a good job recruiting.

P.S. But your girls ARE very, very hot.

September 17, 2007  08:57 PM ET

Florida fans are such LOSERS! Only a LOSER like Meyer or Spurrier would run up the score on teams, and leave their starters in. At least Georgia fans have class, we have a classy coach, and we still have 2 National Championships. Common sense says that if you haven't lost a game, you are National Champions. BOISE STATE #1. The BCS doesn't work now, nor has it ever. I have never recognized it. And yes, UGA has better looking women, BY FAR!

September 17, 2007  10:58 PM ET

To say Coach Richt is a terrible coach just shows ignorance. Look at his records. Or look at his class and faith. Both are impressing.

September 18, 2007  08:40 AM ET

Richt is a great coach. UF won a national title for goodness sakes, THAT is what they see when you look at the 2. Being a UGA girl I think I look good so..I would give us thumbs up there. But for real people can we grade a football program on the way the women look? Hells no.

September 18, 2007  09:27 AM ET

First of all, 'Cazart' you're a straight up IDIOT!!! Not to knock on Urban Meyer, he is a great coach, no doubt about it, and he has some unlike a certain 'jerk' who used to there, and no coaches the other USC, the GameCOCKS (LMAO) that name cracks me up everytime I hear it ;-{P.... anyway, back to my point, to say Coach Richt is not a good coach proves your ignorance, he's got over .700 winning percentage, won the SEC title twice in 6 years, been to bowl every year, only lost one of those , is consistently ranked in the Top 25, and most years ends up top 10, ... I could go on and on, so to say UGA doesn't have good coaching is just plain Wrong!! get your facts straight ..... second this kid committed to FL for 1 reason, he attended a UGA game and witnessed a loss, then attended a FL game and witnessed a win , duhh!!!!!, he's an impressionable kid, let's not read to much into it ..... third, UGA by far has the hottest, most delictible women on the planet, oh AND it is also rated as the #1 "Party school" in America (for the 3rd time, BTW). And finally, after the 'Dawgs whip the Gators this year, and then go on to win the East again, then we'll see.

September 18, 2007  09:32 AM ET

Listen folks this seems to be a SEC thing goin' on. I don't know about that because I'm from 'SC. So you ALL SUCK to me. But, send over some of those trashy gator girls in jeans shorts. We'll turn em into proper California girls! And in return, since we're such nice guys with loads of talent, you can have our sloppy seconds like Moody the loser running back who left cause he couldn't take the competition.

We still got plenty in the tank. So don't get smart and make us pull one of our red-shirts off the bench and *****-slap you! This means all of YOU, especially (L)oser (S)tate (U)niversity

September 18, 2007  12:05 PM ET
