10:58 AM ET 08.14 | The Spurs could tab a familiar name to fill a void in their front office. Team officials have reached out to Danny Ferry to gauge his interest in returning to the organization he left in 2005 to become the general manager of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Its hard to spend on "good talent" when they don't want to sign with the team. Cleveland had a tough time getting FA's to play for them and so does San Antonio. Sure they have a great core now but when Duncan and Parker retire they are going to have problems attracting premier FA's as well.
