08:34 AM ET 08.15 | Tony Parker's wife, actress Eva Longoria, was overheard last night saying the San Antonio point guard wants to come to the Big Apple. The couple was at sold-out Red Bull Arena last night in Harrison, N.J., to watch their friend Thierry Henry and the Red Bulls lose 1-0 to the L.A. Galaxy. When asked if Parker's presence meant he was coming to New York, she responded, "No, we're just here watching [Henry]." When asked if her husband wanted to come to New York, she quickly flashed a smile, nodded her head and said, "Yes."

Good to know Eva. Now act desperately as a wife and bring the show to NY. NY wants Melo. Parker will be number 2 on the shopping list barring a mid season trade that will ship Felton outta the garden but then this will mean no CP3. But that's OK. Desperate Housewife to rescue desperate Knicks...

It wasn't that long ago that Parker was saying he wants to stay in San Antonio. I'll believe he wants to leave when I read a quote from him.

Well with an aging SA and a young NY I would not be surprised. However, I would love to have parker fro 2 reasons. 1 b/c him and Amare would be extremely attractive to melo, 2. it would be nice to see Eva every home game on the sidelines.....

Actually, with all the dumb reports going on about Isiah, I read this morning that Amare was asked how instrumental was Isiah in him chosing to come to the knicks...and Amare said NONE.
THANK YOU AMARE.....Please wake up that idiot Dolan and let him know he came b/c of walsh and dantoni....The knicks are in great shape....they are young, have a chance at parker / melo or cp3....Isiah will just mess things up for another 8 years.

Never ending with this FN lovefest with Knick wannabes!!! Somehow we NEVER see articles on how things are going for the Knick young guns in the summer, or if there is some plan playing D, or if Gallanari had put some dribbling skills/passing skills into his arsenal, none of it.
Just any random player wants to go play for the Knicks, over and over and over again.
LBJ, wade, Bosh, JJ, Amare, Melo, CP3, Parker who else? They got 1 name from that list, they better get atleast 3 more of them to make these dumb articles worthwhile!!

letting your woman talk for you? didn't Parker just say he wanted to stay in SA? regardless Tony Parker has seen his best day's and even with Parker the Knick's still are not a playoff team so...

I disagree, I think the knicks with parker very well can be a playoff team. Plus if parker does come to NY than they are just 1 big time player away like Melo to be a championship contending team.

agreed, NY had to overpay Amare so they wouldn't strike out this summer, Amare and Joe Johnson's contracts will be regretted sooner or later... 100 mill for a guy who doesn't rebound or play defence with a micro fracture, how can this end well for the Knick's?

disagree, with Parkers salary the Knicks wouldn't have enough cap space to sign Melo and believe me NBA players taking less money won't be catching.
But I will humor you, lets say the Knicks some how have enough assets (which they don't) to entice SA to trade Parker (witch would meen SA gave up) and Melo signed for less than a max contract ( which he won't) you really think Parker is better than Wade? Melo is better than James? and Amare is better then Bosh? my vote is no on all three. So what wold they really have? Even IF all of the "new" NY hopes come true that team might be top four in the East behind Miami, Orlando and Chicago... maybe

I agree, this could blow up for the knicks but they had no choice to do it. Hopefully it will not become another Houton situation where his knee's go out and he is all done after a year or so.
Knicks really had no choice to over pay, mainly since they still had money to get 2 more FAs. Walsh did a good job not to spend the rest of the money. There was no one out there that could have helped the knicks beat boston or miami right now. So why not wait until players like Melo and parker become available which could now at least compete with miami. At that time I think boston would start to consider rebuilding. This is boston's last year to attempt before they strip down and rebuild.

I should have added cp3 here also. If New orleans has a bad year...CP3 starts to complain, NO will look to rebuild and move cp3's salary for either young talent, expiring contracts or both.

buy I still say what does NY have to trade?

I think that is why knicks stock piled young players in the Lee trade. They can trade felton (only a 2 year deal), randolph, Chandler or Galo, and Curry's expiring contract. This gives NO's a PG, a young PF in randolph who is only 21 years old, and an expiring contract which makes NO's young and have money and draft picks.

I agree NY had to do something, however my Bulls also missed out on LeBron and Wade but didn't go off the deep end and sing Joe Johnson to a max deal. They pick up good piece's like Boozer, korver, brewer, watson and didn't over pay for one of them. Amare may be a slightly better offencive player then boozer but Boozer is better defender and rebounder. And the Bulls paid him 25 million less not bad for a guy who but up 19.5 and 11.3 last year...
