08:49 AM ET 08.15 | About a year ago, Bernie Kosar quietly made a call to Baltimore. "I needed to see Art," the former Cleveland Browns quarterback said. He meant Art Modell, the former owner of the Browns who moved the franchise to Baltimore after the 1995 season. "We hadn't talked since I was cut [by the Browns in 1993]," Kosar said. "I heard that Art was in a wheelchair and not doing well. I know that Art thinks he can't come back [to Cleveland], so I went to Art."

If he's reaching out to Modell in a positive way, it sounds like Kosar is a pretty good guy.

I actually read the whole article. I would say he is a very good guy.

He might be a pretty good guy, but he couldn't play football for squat. I used to shake my head grimace every time I watched him line up under center with one foot parallel to the line. One of the darkest years in Cowboys history. Man, did he suck.

A classy move by a classy guy. He was probably the prototype for the QB from a FLorida college with horrible delivery mechanics, but he did pretty well for himself as a pro while he was in Cleveland.

Kosar is a good man even if he is in bad financial shape (Bankruptcy court) he did have a weird
side arm delivery when passing, but some great games with Browns, the cardiac kids.
Yes a Good guy.

I did too. Didn't sound good the way he was describing the aftermath of all those concussions.

Thought the same thing. He sluffed off the ankle and elbow and bad back pain as just part of the game I guess. These guys take a beating and it never goes away.

I agree and I don't think he deserved everything bad he got, like going through life named Bernie.

He's a fun guy to spend a weekend with.

Only if your dead. That is pretty cool though, that he did that.

Good guy, so-so quarterback, those Broncos-Browns games back in the day with him and Elway were epic though.

Don't even give them anything in a post. Just ignore them and click the abuse button.

As for the Kosar story, he must have been drunk again to do a make up sesison with that guy. Of course, Bernie's always drunk so that's a no-brainer.

I'd love to have the '86 & '87 games on DVD - they are timeless!
