08:36 AM ET 08.16 | In a rout, the offense took it to the defense in Alabama's weekend scrimmage. By all accounts, it ran roughshod over a rebuilding, banged-up defense during the preseason's first closed scrimmage Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. Alabama's top three quarterbacks combined for 698 yards and nine touchdowns on 52-of-69 passing, taking advantage of an inexperienced secondary that was also hampered by a string of injuries during the afternoon. Starting quarterback Greg McElroy was 26-of-33 for 360 yards and six touchdowns, according to statistics released by UA sports information.

While I would enjoy seeing PSU beat 'Bama, I think you may be waiting for a while. Just sayin'...

This is absurd. Their defense is going to be dominant. It's a bunch of 5*'s destined for the NFL. They don't need experience. They just have to walk onto the field in those crimson jerseys. God himself takes care of the rest.
Besides, there's not a defense in the NFL that can slow the greatness that is GMac.

You guys have it all wrong. This was a mind game by Saban. The Bammers will tell you all about it soon enough.

I know that he doesn't make dumb mistakes like stopping on a QB keeper when he knows a 300 pound DL is coming from his blindside. :)

I'll never say that. That's what you call arrogance and hubris. But, I'll say we have as good a chance as anyone, and more than most.

Not many defenses will stop the Bama offense but I think they will have to win some 41-38 games this year if they are going to repeat.

Coach Saban has an automatic door opener, when a player walks into his office the door mysteriously closes behind them. Heh heh heh, sorry to interrupt, but i just saw this on the news, funny.

You're thinking of "hamina hamina hamina..." That's Finnish, not Mediteranean.
