08:18 AM ET 08.17 | In attendance as the Clippers introduced new uniforms instead of new players, owner Donald Sterling addressed the issues facing his team. A couple of months ago this was going to be the summer of all summers for the Clippers, a fresh start, a chance to hire a new coach, $17 million in cap space to go after LeBron or other big names like him and make a huge splash. And so they signed Randy Foye and Ryan Gomes. Or, as Sterling put it, "If I really called the shots we wouldn't have signed Gomes and what's the other guy's name? You know, they told me if we built a new practice facility we'd attract all the top players in the game," Sterling adds. "I guess I should have doubled the size of this place."

The truth hurts, they are going to suck another terrible season. Baron is wasting his talents playing for a non contending team.

And you all think dolan is worse than this guy?It would be a great debate :)

This guy got left behind on the human civilization highway...third grade maybe? On subject of the most **** owners in the league I'll give Dolan a pass. He at least respects his players or has the patience to stomach some crap. Imagine what Sterlin will do if Eddy Curry was on his roster. Sterlin's statement will get some reaction from Shartpton for sure and I hope he's not related to the commissioner cos something will have to be done about this.. you can't have an owner like this... his words are sickening..yikes.

Umm, wow. A new practice facility is going to bring in all the top players? And "If I called the shots"? Ah, dude... oh, forget it....

Sorry. No, you are an idiot.

@ Lostwill...why would Sharpton get involved? Did he mention race? Your sir are an idiot.

Q: So when players aren't good enough to play for the Timberwolves, where do they go?
A: The Clippers

baron is averaging under 40% from the field, under 30% from 3, and under 80% from the foul line the past 2 years with the clippers. i think that those 'talents' are a perfect fit with the clips.

the biggest idiot in sports..

i hope that davis gordon and big grif all get out of there soon

August 17, 2010  10:23 AM ET

Bad as he is, at least he didn't maliciously tank his team like Cohan.

this man would surpize me years ago - but now i'm not surprized any more by what comes out of his mouth - he once said we play our games where champs play (ya you play your games at staples)

August 17, 2010  10:54 AM ET

It's the Clippers. What do you expect?

August 17, 2010  01:24 PM ET

No he didn't but it's a white owner referring to a black player as "what's that other guy" so chances are someone will make something out of nothing.
